I would have some say we could only be friends and I would blame my mom from running them away but as I grew and matured mentally and emotionally still great friends with these guys I understood they knew they were players, liars and cheaters and they rather hurt me by leaving me then hurt me by staying pretending to be that man I desired or needed and causing my heartache low self esteem emotionally pain. I understand both sides. Mom and sisters were there when she shared how much he hurt her; She got over the hurt and wants to be with him. The disconnect comes because once you share with people that love you, how much or exactly what someone has done to hurt you, they never forget and will not easily let it go just because you decide to forgive that person. If anything, it makes them have even more resentment toward that person. I get that you really can't predict the future but most of the times people know if they still want to be with someone even though they have been hurt. If that's the case, it's probably best not to share too much information with the people that care about you, it'll only make getting back with that person awkward and uncomfortable for everyone. In this situation, it may have been best to speak with Mom and Sisters about this without him around first, and then tried bringing them all together.
