"I do look African-American, but I'm 100% Latina." Amara don't contradict what you are standing up for. Baby girl you are a Afro-Latina. Periodt. You look like that because you do have African ancestry. Let's not forget that literally a ditch separates Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Embrace all of you. It's okay to be unapologetically black and Latina. Best of both worlds!

That Hollywood guy was soooo ignorant, how is she not going to be offended when he is questioning her whole identity? Being an afro Latina means that you are an afro descendent from the Africans that arrived in Latino America. It's seriously ridiculous that some people believe that you can only be black and proud of it if you are from the United States. Where do you think that melanin from some latinos comes from? They were just sun-kissed? I can bet you any afro Latino resemblances more to their African people than most Afro-Americans because they have dances and music (not hip hop and twerking, by the way) that replicate the rhythms of traditional African music and dances, they also have fusion foods (no fast foods) that came from the original African gastronomy. And they are definitely less entitled than the larger population of the United States. Let it sink for a moment, Amara La Negra is an afro Latina, and no less than any other Afro-American depicted in any of these shows.

African Americans have vegetarian diets. They were forced to eat the leftover parts of the animal. They didnt want that ish....but we make it taste good without it being overly hot to where your throat and tongue is numb 🤣 But then again if you look at every other race around the world they eat every part of the animal anyway. We don't eat fast food all day! But they are forced and setup in our neighborhoods! More than farmer markets and more than decent supermarkets! You can grow your fruits in your warm climate! Were you referring to us AA's as being entitled or the other party? As far as Hip Hop is concerned. Dats our shit!....That's the AFRICA we carry! Yeah the dances definitely gonna be the same🤷🏾♀️ twerk as you call it and all! Straight from the Motherland! That's OUR CULTURE without knowing our tribes! The same culture the world seems to always emulate. Then go talk shit lol. Tell me what's the difference between twerking, whining or the African version???!!! Don't say cultural meaning cause its three different ones. They all want you to look at them. See them. Seduce men with our hips. A mating dance. Or the feeling joy just by dancing and freeing up and exercising, all while feeling liberated. Right? Hip Hop and dancing that's what we do. They are African dances. We just dont know our tribes but it's a whole hell of alot! That's US that's our culture! We like to share. Don't act like that! Don't be disrespectful! The music industry here is not ran by us. So the cookie cutter ain't us. The regular AA...We dont bleach our skin. We know we're not 100% African. We know that we're mixed but we hold deep to our African roots! So no matter what you mixed with over here rather you believe it or not... yah black! When they see you you BLACK! BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL 🖤🖤!! We speak English cause we were colonized by the Europeans and lost out native tongues just like yall did when y'all was colonized by the Spaniards!

@@tamikathomas-barnes3452 I guess you are one (of obviously millions) of Africanamericans that have a sense of self-pride and appreciate your culture as a whole. I was talking about all those ignorant idiots who believe that only Africanamericans are black, disregarding afrolatinos and their heritage, believing that Hip Hop is as African as it can be when there are other expressions of afro music around the world. I was not talking to you but you responded, you have nothing to defense since I'm not attacking you but calling out all the ignorants out there.

@Melyssa Revilla I have never in my life heard any AA say that hip hop was only African and nothing else bwahahahaha! We say our dances and rythm come from Africa...its deeply rooted. When we say that we not disregarding anyone else. How we know were African. All us AA's take pride in our roots eventhough we don't know what tribe we're from. We don't discredit or disregard other ppl who have African roots. They do it themselves, some Afrolatinas tend to not wanna associate with being black/ african roots. Some rather list their oppressors proudly before stating they have those deep roots 😂 We don't! Unless our birth parents are of a different race. Either way we in the same boat. Dont know our native tongue or what tribe we're from. They don't care what your mixed with....when they see you... you black!

@@tamikathomas-barnes3452 you think you speak for your whole community, you want to speak for those who have surgery on their noses because they are ashamed of their wide African nose or that bleach their skin because they are tired of their black men preferring light skin girls? Not every black person is like you, black, self-aware, and proud. I won't talk about all afro Latinos, but I will talk about those that are proud of being black like Amara La Negra, and that has been questioned by both Latinos and people from the United States for embracing her African roots.
