Quick update - I just came from Asami's X'mas Special LIVE stream and she was sensational ! She sang a mix of R&B, mellow rock and Christmas ballads. For a few of the songs, if you closed your eyes, you won't be able to tell it wasn't Mariah Carey or Aretha Franklin singing. She also looked absolutely stunning and elegant in a flowing night gown/dress. Worth every cent and more !

Asami can sing like this and can sing an awesome cover of Painkiller. She can do it all. Great voice, I could not imagine Lovebites without her.

At almost 72 years old, I am the happiest of men because I have just managed to find a place for the Hellfest in Clisson (France from 06/27 to 30/2024) which is 400 km from Paris where I live. And among all the artists (Metallica, Shaka Ponk, Tom Morello, Queens of the stone age, Babymetal, Megadeth, Foo fighters, The Offspring, etc.). And among them on 06/28 there are THE LOVEBITES!!!!!!!! I think the next 6 months will seem long!

@@johnpaul4784 I live in Vernon. and i'll come to Paris to see Lovebites in "La Maroquinerie" June 25th just before Hellfest. it still remain some places. just go to check it and my wife and I will be happy to meet you there. I'm 56 and My wife is 62.

Asami and Miyako's amazing talent.Reading Asami's known biography, she has no prior classical vocal or operatic training. She also had no experience with metal music before joining LOVEBITES.Everyone knows that Miyako has been taking piano lessons since she was 3 years old. However, she did not touch the guitar until she was about 17 years old. But then she made the guitar her own, completely self-taught. On the full band studio recording the piano part under the breakdown is a lot more elaborate. Myako really lets Asami shine here.

Thanks RC for reviewing and analyzing this ! Asami's really sublime vocals on full display here. All raw, no post-production, it's just her and Miyako. You can even hear her mic popping from time-to-time and this is how amazing she sounds au naturel. This event took place at one of Asami's birthday parties. Totally agree that Miyako's re-imagined piano version of Eagle Fly Free is very worth the listen, but I enjoy it best right after listening to Lovebites' studio performance of the same song....really great duo!!🤘

Asami was doing gigs like this before she joined Lovebites-except in those days Miyako wasn't backing her. This was a two-part stream Dec. 20, 2020, 1st part a birthday show, 2nd a Christmas show. She did LB songs and covered everyone from Roberta Flack to Chaka Khan to Celine Dion to Oasis to the Eagles to Heart. Similar to the show she just did.
