Lovebites are definitely the real deal. Something reactors often overlook is that Lovebites members (except for Haruma the drummer) play a full 90 minute plus gig wearing four inch high heels and do not break sweat, not even Haruna. I would put them up against any male metal band and I think they would probably slay the opposition with their technical ability, songwriting skills and live performance. And no tattoos, no multiple piercings, no ragged jeans and T-shirts, no gurning while soloing, no drug or alcohol problems, just five well-educated, sophisticated women, all around thirty years old, who are also talented musicians at the top of their game and play metal for the love of the music. In Europe and the US following Heavy Metal is as much about the life style, dress code etc as about the music. What I Iike about Lovebites is that they love the music but do not live the heavy metal/rock and roll live style. Mikako, the guitarist on the right with black hair playing the Dean Icon, has studied classical piano since the age of three and plays concert level piano, however at eighteen she taught herself to play the guitar, discovered 1980s UK heavy metal and the rest is history.

I've been a Lovebites fan since 2017. They are my favorite band at the moment. I have 4 of their cds which includes Five of a kind the latest live one. They don't have a bad song.

Me too, glad to see another old timer, found them by word of mouth from the power metal scene with their first single/video Don't Bite The Dust. Have bought everything they've released as it was released, my favorite power metal band since Maiden/Priest. Feel so lucky to have been there from the beginning and watching everyone discover them now.

These girls are so humble. They always give credit to Iron Maiden, Metallica, Priest etc., but honestly, they have surpassed all those bands in sheer virtuosity. Just play Maiden's "Aces High" back to back with Lovebites' "The Crusade" and you realize, it's like comparing a six-shooter to phasers. Only one quibble: you need to give more love to Miho, the bassist. She is the soul of the band, and had the foresight to recruit four off-the-charts talents to work with her (she knew Haruna from their previous band together, Destrose, as others have pointed out). She often gets overshadowed, but she is remarkable.

I like the members so close with fans, sometime members replied my comment or give the like on social media. I never saw Japanese artist did like that. I love them

i love the open and honest reactions, especially Kelly face-palming in amazement. You have some of the history, so I won't repeat it. One of their strengths is that Midori and Miyako are actually so different in style and tone, which makes their duets all the more powerful. Midori is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel. Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion and pinch harmonics. They can both smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reactor said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band together."

Yeah guys also they are the winners of 2018 year in category for best new metal band. Lovebites are influenced by 80s metal. Their last album Electric pentagram is nominated for one of the best 20 metal albums for 2020 year. They are the best all female power metal band in the world at the moment. Check more songs from the same concert Five of a kind in Zepp Diversity Tokyo from this year like Thunder vengeance, Rise some hell, We the United ,Shadowmaker, Dancing with the devil, Swan song, Break the wall, Hammer of wrath. All the concert is mind blowing stuff. And Haruna the drummer she is top female metal drummer in the world at the moment. Also if you don't know Lovebites always perform on the stage with high heels. Do you know any other band to do it? And they prefer to sing English, so this is the difference between them and other Japanese bands. Enjoy it.

Wonderful reaction and way to start my day! Thank you both so much, and for promoting LOVEBITES awesome music! This was a joy to watch. Not yet mentioned but possibly of interest is how petite these powerful and talented women are: Miyako, guitarist-right is tallest at 5'2" and drummer Haruna is shortest at 4'9"; Asami, vocalist is 4'10" and both Miho, bass and Midori, guitar-left are under 5' tall. Their power is from their souls! With the drum-kit I see behind you, someone there will understand what it takes to do what Haruna does for 1-hour & 45-minute concert! Last song, "We The United" is as driving and powerful as all 17 other songs. Middle of show has Miyako playing a 2-minute Chopin piano solo and next song, "Swan Song" has piano outro. Thank you. One more LOVEBITES reaction, then I will subscribe for the next 38 excellent songs they have out now! I suggest "Rising": kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZasnKued798oa8 Very uplifting lyrics and [cc] subtitles for clarity, has a piano & vocal interlude in middle followed by solos by each guitarist and duet guitars after that, from same concert. btw, including link to original video in your description is always appreciated: LOVEBITES "Holy War": kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJikqaN7paqWpNE

Welcomed to the world of Lovebites, the best power metal band in the whole world nowadays (male or female). As you could see they really shine live; their musicianship and skills are awesome. Lovebites is (mostly) a power metal and but they have influences from Metallica, Iron Maiden, Helloween, Slayer, Dragon Force, Gary Moore, Whitesnake, etc., and they’re developing their own style. I recommend songs from their latest concert earlier this year “Zepp Divercity, Tokyo 2020”. Other recommended live performances are “Daughters of the dawn”, “Battle in the east”, “Wacken”. Avoid “Bloodstuck” (bad audio). My song suggestions: “When destinies align”, “Hammer of wrath”, “Shadowmaker”, “Break the wall”, “Rising”, “Signs of deliverance”, “Swan song” (with classical piano), “Scream for me”, “Raise some hell”, “Under the red sky”, and a special mention to “Thunder vengeance” (mind blowing), “Dancing with the devil” (classic rock and bluesy vocals), “Empty daydream” (nice piano and vocals with catchy mid tempo), “Epilogue” (epic power ballad, great vocals, nice piano, scorching old school guitar solos) and “Edge of the world” (epic power ballad, nice vocals, nice guitar solos and song build up)

I just love to see people, especially younger generations discover Lovebites. Welcome to the most talented band on planet and definitely one of the top bands worldwide (in my opinion they are the No.1 band). They play various styles, primarily power and trash metal, but they have ballads, power ballads and hard rock songs. One of the guitarist (long dress) Miyako plays keyboards and guitar at the same time, both guitarist do dual guitar overhand tapping and that is a just few out of many remarkable things about them all. Drummer is 4'10". Other all female top notch bands from Japan: Band-Maid, Nemophila, Scandal, Aldious, Mary's Blood, Doll$box, Gacharic Spin, Trident, and about 20-30 more. Mixed: BabyMetal, Asterism, Unlucky Morpheus, Wagakki Band and many, many more. ome you reacted too, like as far as I can tell Wagakki Band, Band-Maid, Unlucky Morpheus, but keep on watching there are plenty of songs and bands from Japan.

I love love love this band, I've got a strong feeling that once covid is over they are going to blowup big time, if I'm not mistaking back at the beginning of the year they said that N. America was next on their list, but then covid hit, It's not easy for Asian bands in general to break the international barrier, but a few have such as Dir En Grey, Chthonic, and Crossfaith so it's not impossible, but I have a feeling if these ladies can do it they will go very far, they just need the right tour to make their N. American debut with, perhaps one of those super tours, Crosfaith did it with the Warped tour, and Chthonic did it with Ozzfest, perhaps since the Warped tour is supposedly coming back in 2021 they can use that for their debut

Welcome to the best LIVE power band playing today. Now to get a taste of the insane talent of these women try Scream for Me (kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4DKZZqsiLqgedE) and watch one of the best guitar riff battles ever by the duo of Midori(ESP?Blonde) and Miyako (Dean/Black). This band is like driving a Lamborghini at full speed on the open road and they do it FLAWLESSLY. They are small in height but no one stands taller on stage nor plays better LIVE than these women. They took all the glory of 80"s metal (Iron Maiden/Judas Priest, etc..) and mixed in some Dragon Force and elevated to a whole new level with a bluesy vocalist who sings in English. Anything LIVE from 2019 and 2020 will be awesome to experience (stay away from Bloodstock 2018 the audio recording is lousy-not their fault).

Watching a Japanese female band while wearing a Dead Kennedys t-shirt? How about trying an all-female Japanese band who play a bit of punk? OK, they are far more Ramones-ish than Dead Kennedys, but The Let's Go's are three women from Tokyo who play stripped back 70s style punk, with energy, character, and a catchy rock feel, not to mention a rare sense of fun. This track is a two-minute blast called "Feel Like It", and even features a Joey Ramone lookalike delivering a pizza. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kJKcaYWgpbChgZo

Rule #1: biggest mistake of all.... You never pause or interrupt a solo or any type of mini solo from our guitarists. Especially, in the beginning with Miyako tapping. That was a big mistake. Apologized and never do it again.
