What do you get with Lovebites? Great compositions Elite level talent across the board Energy Best dual leads ever IMO This song is so much fun, and the crowd was into it big time. Haruna is a freaking beast, one of my top 4 favorite drummers of all time (Tomas Haake - Meshuggah; Martin Lopez - Soen/ex-Opeth; Dave Lombardo - Slayer/Grip Inc are my other 3. Psyched to see them on the US for the first time next Sept at ProgPower 2024. Already have my ticket, flight from Boston, and hotel.

I am another one that has his ticket to ProgPower 2024 in Atlanta on September 6 & 7, along with my hotel reservation. I haven't decided whether I am going to fly or drive from Texas but most likely making a road trip. My wife is joining me on the trip but not the festival. Besides Lovebites, I am looking forward to seeing Soen (probably my favorite prog metal band right now), Winger (great band but still not sure how they fit into ProgPower) and Frozen Crown (Call of the North is a very strong album). Lovebites won't be doing any US shows prior to ProgPower because ProgPower has a strong, lengthy history of being the US debut for overseas bands. I would think Lovebites would tour the US for a solid month possibly finishing at Aftershock where Iron Maiden is confirmed. My prediction could be wrong because Iron Maiden will be playing 4 shows in Japan in late September and they have not announced an opening act. I think Lovebites would be perfect to open for Iron Maiden in Japan. If that happens, Lovebites might return to the US and start the US tour at Aftershock. Of course the dream scenario for Lovebites would to tour with Iron Maiden in the US. I am seeing Iron Maiden if Fort Worth, Texas so I would love that too.

Fami the bass player is only 21 years old and she's already a phenomenal bassist. Prior to joining the band last year, she already was a KZbin sensation with over 650k subscriber, playing bass covers, and her own songs. Jason, hope you check out some of her bass playing if you hadn't already done so. The fun part is to see how she will contribute more to the Lovebites new songs in the next album. They will no doubt add another dimension to this great band.

Everyone and their mother jumping on this one 😆 I like the one that is "illegal" that starts with a Haruna drum solo. Lovebites is my favorite band but for this song I like the studio version better. Two reasons, the chorus harmonies are overpowered by Asami's vocals and Midori's guitar solo is not brought up in the mix to be prominent as it should be. This song and another one are the only Lovebites that I like the studio better.

Three consecutive/segued songs from founder "Natural Born HeadBanger" Miho, you've STILL not reacted to: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qqWlfWOHbJlnrqM "The Apocalypse > M.D.O. > Don't Bite The Dust > Holy War intro/fade" (15min) subjects: Surviving Atomic bombing > cautionary wisdom > perseverance & self-empowerment. Top tier Metallica riff? I'll do you one better. This screams classic MOTORHEAD. Fami's bass just screams Lemmy while Miyako's riff has Fast Eddie Clark written all over it and Haruna channels her inner Philthy Animal Taylor. All of this is shades of classic Motorhead to the point where you could easily picture Motorhead performing this. This is the beauty of LoveBites: Taking any of their songs in their catalog and playing "Guess what band influenced this!?". In this case, they have Motorhead smiling down on them with pride.

I known there are a lot of influences, but why you slways compare this band with the old ones?, for me, i hear more of the power metal influences from europe and japan , sonata arctica, lost horizon, dark ilution, magic quest, alympos mons, rhapsody, galnerius, even the japanese influenced by iron maiden like, iron attack, demetori, minstrelix, yeah the inlfuence from old bands stil there but , i am not agree when people say "lovebites its like slayer, motorhead, iron maiden but faster with women", sounds like opinions fron people who stay in that era and never heard, white skull, metalium, nightwish, olympso mons, luca turili, forgoten tales etc, a lot of band from europe and japan. When i hear holy war , there are sounds from, white skull, galneryus, down of destiny, or heavenly, man even miyako plays piano and there are artension and vitalij kupril vibes.

@@TonyFrost5284 They make that comparison because that was the premise of the band being formed. Miho wanted to form a band that was heavily influenced by 80s power metal, NWOBHM, and thrash. That is why those references are always made.

@@athlonen yeah i know that, even the bands that i listed, have those influences, of course, but its different influences of bands from the 80 and be like the bands from the 80, but dot get me wrong, saying that its not bad or wrong, but newer bands deservs that credit too, because its like 20% olds bands and 80% newer bands.but i think many people doesnt known other bands besides the old famous from the 80, and just to be clear, there was no power metal in the 80, the influences are from the 80, those bands experimented with speed and a melodic stuff but that was not called power metal, power metal was born like a genre in the end of 90 and begining of 2000, in that time in america metal was garbage, with the numetal, europe revived from the ashes with power metal.white skull, rhapsody, sonata arctica, dragon force, excalion, metalium, olympos mons, luca turili, dragon land, atacchness, artension, fairy tale, at vance, etc a.lot of bands uknown were formed and inlfuenced by old bands but with new and own style that easily we can forget the clasics.

They truly are the best band in the world. I disagree on one point. They should come to the UK 1st then America. My recommendation for your next Lovebites is Swan Song with Chopin intro. Miyako shining in all her musical brilliance.

Post hiatus Lovebites is next level. They totally upped their game. Fami is such a great addition. For me though, it's Asami, that has improved the most. Her vocals on the latest album are stellar. Live, though, she is absolutely amazing. She had great stage presence before, now its even better. My number one band on Spotify

This song was originally written with the idea of having the audience join in the chorus once the restrictions imposed by COVID were lifted, masks were no longer needed, and people could speak louder. Fortunately, the restrictions were lifted for this two-year revival concert. Just before the concert began, the staff told the audience and all the members of the band about this, and everyone was overjoyed at the surprise.

9/6/2024 ProgPower in Atlanta is 1st US visit. They are booking the festivals in Europe next Summer (Spain. France and I bet Wacken). You often hear people claim great song, BUT they won't be able to play that LIVE. LMAO, this is LB. There is nothing they can't play LIVE!! COVID canceled their 2020 world tour, but 2024 is coming, and they are taking aim at the metal world. If they hit Brazil and Argentina, they likely will end up being heard at the North Pole LOL.

They grew up on a UK tour, Haruna even mentioned it as a tough ask, 11 gigs in 13 days, not to include other such tours in 7 countries and many festivals.
