This is the exact reason I love Tiff. He’s just a true, unadulterated car guy. He doesn’t get caught up in stigmas and stereotypes and judge cars accordingly, which is very rare for a Brit, especially when reviewing an American car. And very especially when reviewing a Corvette.

Really looked forward to Tiff's trusted take on the C8. Some of the, well, lesser experienced reviewers made comments that were rather suspect and just had to hear what this was like from The Man. We've had this rig for a while in the US, and it continues to surprise and impress. A truly great, high performance all-rounder that won't break the bank. Will be watching for Tiff's track review! Don't know if all the options will make it across the pond, but it can be had here with body-colored vents and more elegant wheels; a bit of a transformation.

Nice bringing up the Corvette racing aspect. Of course Tiff is the first test driver that does so, and I believe I've watched them all. Nicely filmed too, the Corvette rushing by between the trees, leaves whirling, accompanied by a great soundtrack. In Europe this is now priced approximately equivalent to the BoxsterCayman GTS 4.0. I suppose the Corvette will be the better GT with the magnetic dampers, and the Porsche the more nimble sports car. The Porsches are available with a stick shift, the Corvette as a hard top convertible. Which will provide the greatest sense of occasion in the day-to-day driving? Hopefully we'll get a track shoot out between them.

I love that Tiff actually talked about Corvette's long racing history, and seems to be a big fan of Corvettes in general. Looking forward to seeing his review of the C8 Z-06, or ZR-1, when they get released. Tiff is one of the few test drivers (if not the only one) that actually talks about Corvette's racing history, and how they absolutely dominated the LeMans GTS Class,* that at one point they were the only car in the class, because no one else wanted to get humiliatingly owned by the Corvettes. Of those that quit (most did so by moving down a class to GT/GT2), Ferrari was the first Euro team to quit, in a huff. Turns out Americans can build cars that go around corners, and the GM C5-R, and C6-R 'Vettes did so, dominatingly well, without catching fire (team Ferrari, often). To their credit, the two-car factory Aston Martin team was the last team to attempt taking down the mighty black-on-yellow "R" 'Vettes after the likes of Ferrari, Porsche, and others quit (or changed to a lower class), but the Aston's also got slaughtered by the factory C5-R team. * Before the top ALMS/LeMans production car class name got changed to GT1, it was known as GTS.

As an Amerikan, I got to go to Le Mans in 1997 for the first and only time...a huge treat to visit road racing Mecca!! We stayed in a small country inn in a little French town you've never heard of and guess who was also staying there?!? Tiff was gracious and polite. Between him and the members of the Jag club from Devon, we laughed for days with all the English humor and mannerisms....great fun, great memories!! Hopefully, this new car will be light years better than all previous Vettes...they all seem to dismantle themselves as you drive them. Little bits fall off here and there even with the greatest of care, the build quality has been typical Amerikan sloppy. All this magnetic suspension stuff, the computerized gadgets ...will cost a fortune to replace when they go bad. I wonder how that will effect the used price 5-10 years from now.

I drove one recently, identical to this one (base model) save for a beautiful white paint job - the car is mindblowingly surreal - there is an amazing disconnect (not in a bad way) between the sheer speed, power and balance of this car and the calm, ordinary, comfortable way it goes about doing that

Well what you expect go look who developed it mate it wasn’t the yanks or they money plus the same people did all the work on this have done it for the new camero before they got the sack and tax payer money of this country paid for it all in fact they used one our work cars to develop the c8 by putting the motor in the back over the diff got any idea mate

Since the 60’s Chevrolet has been teasing the public with mid-engine Corvette prototypes. When I found out it would be a reality a few years ago, I was set to buy one. But no manual transmission? Forget it. I’ll keep my 1972 Corvette, which is gorgeous and extremely satisfying to drive.

I remember when the 427 Stingray was fast as hell but basically a real pig when it came to handling! Unsafe at any speed more or less covered that car in the late 60s. Nice to see that the car has improved so much since then.

Hello from 🇨🇦 Canada! I havev a 2021 C8 Corvette Zeus's Bronze Z51 and just love the curves and sharp edges! 👌 It's a fun car to go for a long drives. Took it too the race track and I'm amazed by the throttle response and the grip in corners!! Looking back after my first year of ownership... I would by it again in a heart beat!!
