Rest in love to both. Went to school with Preston, kayaked and paddled canoe together. He always had a smile on his face no matter what. True meaning of the Aloha spirit. Ran into him a few years ago, he told me life updates and his career on being a pilot. Imua.

They said they were out of control. They were along for the ride. Then entered an accelerated stall and went down. Rip fellow aviators 🫡

Stop with the virtue signaling and disinformation. It was luck no one else was injured or killed. They didn't control anything. The pilot said it himself.

They did not maneuver. They did not have control of the aircraft.
@redbaron68058 күн бұрын
Yeah, as much as we would all love for that to be true... the plane was having control issues and ended up in a random location chosen by no one. Very sad for both pilots...

Only the Lord knows why these Young Men where taken from all who Loved them. Lord, please wrap your Arms around these Families, they need you to help them understand, especially this time of the year. No doubt, whatever control they had of the Aircraft, they guided away from injuring anyone else. God Bless this Family.🙏🙏🙏🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼

sounds like a load shift
@guyfaux50109 күн бұрын
If the engine didn't fail on take-off, I'm starting to think the same. Load shift threw off the CG leading to a stall.
@EpicElmoRageZ8088 күн бұрын
I don’t know what type of load shift would have happened since I it was a training flight. Looking at ADS-B data they sustained around 200-250’ while in a steep bank going up to around 90 degrees for a little before they started descending meaning I’d assume they had power to say the least. I mean with 75 degrees of bank you lose like 97% of lift, increased stall speed as well so idk. I watched a few vids, could be asymmetrical flap extension, forgot to take out the control lock (but idk how you would even miss that), fuel imbalance
@Waynes-xt9gr6 күн бұрын
we can only assume.....its the NTSB who will see if their flight HAD a payload for a "training flight"......if the plane did not carry a load, then they will find out.

preliminary report will be out in about a week im guessing. Final report will take years. Ntsb is thorough but it’s dumb they take so long to make any recommendations or insight so this doesn’t happen again
@GH-oi2jf9 күн бұрын
@@christianhenry4324- When the NTSB find something that requires immediate attention, they will put out special bulletins before the full report is finished.
@christianhenry43249 күн бұрын
@@GH-oi2jf You’re correct but ntsb decides what’s important. and refuses to make recommendations before they have all the facts which sounds like smart idea but basic safety recommendations could be made sooner than years after the accident. Speculation is bad for accident investigation but as a pilot speculation opens the door to potentially dangerous situations that pilots can be educated on regardless on being just a contributing factor or main cause. Ntsb holds information close to the chest which can be detrimental to aviation. This is why the rise of educated aviators on youtube breaking down accidents has greatly approved general aviation. This year so far lowest amount of general aviation fatalities in years. Im not anti ntsb but they should reform their sop’s and be more willing to share information.
