@roxyroxelle3 жыл бұрын
And dental "print" as well. They are no longer permitted in the US courts as evidence from what i know, due to being unreliable. There were cases of people put on death row while being innocent, due to having similar bitemarks as the perpetrator, then the DNA evidence would bring out the truth, but too late.

@@roxyroxelle I agree that dental prints aren't reliable enough to convict a person on. I don't mind if it's used in addition to other evidence, but it's certainly not a smoking gun. In most cases, DNA trumps all other forms of evidence, but in this case, it seems like the detectives chose to disregard the DNA evidence against one suspect in favor of the dental print evidence against a different suspect. That seems suspicious to me. The reasoning the forensic scientist gave for minimizing the importance of the DNA evidence also seems suspicious. Overall, I don't like the way this case was handled.

It's called "corpus delecti" which generally means that a crime has to be proven to have occured, i.e. a dead body to prove murder. Some states will not allow put forth a case without a body because of how difficult it is to prove that a murder has happened. All the defense lawyer has to do is raise doubt - maybe the victim ran off, they could still be alive because you can't prove they're dead without a body - and when you're a juror you are told that the prosecution has to prove *beyond* a reasonable doubt that the defendant is guilty.

Yup Paulina should have chosen better quality men ,and then she wouldn't have been killed, they would have just paid rent. So sad. Open relationships can work,but fooling around behind your lovers back will always lead to troubles. No one likes being made a fool. But in this case ,it seems like the guy was to proud to have her find out that he was a looser!
@davidwoermansr3 жыл бұрын
Open relationships aren't relationships they're expensive friends with benefits and possible STDs if I ever trust a woman enough to get in a relationship again it's me and her nobody else getting any from either of us but I doubt there's a woman on this planet that can convince me to trust her that much and any single guys looking to get married I thought my uncle was joking when he told me if you want a faithful wife marry an ugly woman with some meat on her bones because you can go to work not worried about people trying to crawl in bed with her and in the winter you put that insulation between you and the wall
@johannas.l.brushane25183 жыл бұрын
Or if she had paid her own rent she may not have been dependent on such men?
@tangerinetangerine44003 жыл бұрын
If men stopped killing women "to save face" or because the woman isn't attracted to him regardless of how much money he spends trying to buy her love, many women would still be alive.

I couldn't figure out why anyone would want to kill her??? You mean outside of the fact she was sleeping around with who knows how many different guys at once? Not saying that should be a reason, but it's definitely a huge reason none the less for a obsessed person to do so.
@unappealingundesirable28262 жыл бұрын
I agree, Winns. I don't condone this behavior, either, but some people resort to gun violence or vehicular homicide, just because someone cuts them off, or flips the middle finger at them. You just don't want to set off the wrong person.

That's too bad every state needs to keep the death penalty for any crime against children and murderers a tall tree and a short rope and we need to do a wholesale cleaning of every death row instead of taxpayers paying for them including healthcare to keep them living till they die of natural causes and old age minutes after a guilty verdict they need to be swinging solve several problems at once no chance of reoffending clear space in overcrowded prisons and lower taxes or at least tax money can go where it should
