i believe thats part of how voice casting works their normal voice is close to what the character sounds like already. maybe so their not straining their voice as much? not sure but have you ever seen videos of say Kevin conroy or James earl Jones or definitely Richard Horovitz they have very unique and awesome voices that make the characters they play iconic

Holy hell- I'm not super well versed in song writing or music or any of that kind of stuff. But as someone who sang for audiences before and is trying to write my own music, I'm absolutely blown away by his voice and skill with music writing. I mean those lyrics are fantastic.
