How does the cat's eye "protect" you from bad luck? Does it absorb the energy to neutralize it, or does it reflect the energy away? It's like a feng shui mirror: a concave mirror that bowls inward will absorb attacking energy and draining energy (sha chi and si chi), while a convex one that bowls outward will reflect the energy back to the source and can actually do more harm than good.
