Yes, try using a edge control with a black tint. I’ve got great results when I’ve used them when I was suffering from postpartum hair loss.

How do I safely remove the rubber band when I’m ready to take down ?

I cut them out, but be very careful. I make sure I enough space between my hair and scissors before I cut.

Use the end of a rat tail comb and use it to lift the ruber band. Then cut it. It will instantly unravel.
