whenever i remember that jimin almost didnt make it i get sad so bad since he’s my bias and i couldn’t imagine my life if he wasn’t in bts im pretty sure he would have been successful no matter what but i still get sad :( he talked about it in 2017 during their comeback show for DNA he only trained for a year/less than a year and the staff from bighit like kicked him out like 8 times i imagine because of his short training period of time and i guess they thought he was not ready to debut but he never gave up and im glad he never quit and keep on trying... that’s why after debuting he kept on practicing every day to prove he is good enough im beyond proud of him 💗 also about hoseok, he thought things were not working out and left the room saying he wanted to quit jungkook said he cried that day and said that if hoseok leaves then he will leave too but the boys talked with hoseok and he stayed 💗

Well kind of. Tae & Jimin only met when they were trainees. All of the members met as trainees, V & Jimin aren't any different. They both went to school elsewhere and when they moved to Seoul to be trainees they changed schools which is why they both ended up going to the same high school while they were trainees.

Yes... Its a good thing he was able to get hold of himself, members did caught him crying secretly and that brings me to yoongi saying to JK this 2020 in their interview that it’s okay to cry as long as you don’t cry alone . If you would again check videos of him way back 2013 , he was so innocent and shy at the same time , thankfully , his bangtan family helped him come out of his shell. Everyone helped one another .

When jm got to bh, the group was already formed. The agency asked all the members what they thought of adding him. He learned popping since middle school and got accepted as valedictorian in a prestige art school and majored modern dance. It was first ever in school history that top student came from a dance major. It’s so impressive bc he only had few months to prepare unlike people who trained since young. And when he wanted to quit learning popping, the academy didn’t want to waste his talent and offered him free tuition. Like all skilled dancers, when you major in an area, you have habits and muscle memory. It was different from kpop dance. And he really had short training period to fix it. But he really worked hard, and stayed with the team. Bts wouldn’t be bts with out him

because jimin only trained for few months,and he didn't have any background in singing and idol dance(which is different from the dance types he learned before).He even didn't take any vocal lesson until bts debut.He once said that he had waited for v to finish his vocal lesson outside the door,because bighit didn't allow him to take vocal lessons,even if he begged them,also the bighit vocal coach mentioned in an interview that she only taught jin,v and jungkook.His first vocal practice was for a side track in their debut album,and then he debuted as the lead vocalist and main dancer of bts,the man just has pure talent.

I actually hate bighit they done nothing for jimin but they gave him lead vocalist & producers gave all hard prt of a song to jimin. He should be lead bcuz he carried almost all the songs bridges & hooks but bighit itself done nothing for jimin that's why he suffered alot more than others. Jimin is a contemporary dancer but BTS is debuted as a hip hop group which is so diffrent from each other so for him it was hard to keep up with the choreography and fit the concept of the group. There is an article on Soompi about this situation and in this article “I was in danger of not debuting because I didn’t dance well enough,” said Jimin. He explained, “My major was modern dance. Because idol choreography is so different from what I was used to, I found it difficult.”

The snickers in the storyline for j hope has a double meaning. In the storyline it was what his mom left with him when she left him at the amusement park. And second, early on when Hobi decided to leave and was having a lot of difficulty Jungkook used to leave snickers at his door to show him that he still wanted him there. As for Jimin, he almost didnt make it cause of his lack of confidence. He came to Big Hit from a dance school, so he knew how to dance, but singing was something he had to work on. Which is amazing cause Jimin is the one that trained the least. Which tells me that he can pick up on things very quickly. Maybe even have somewhat a photographic memory for dance moves and music. I wouldn't be surprised. And even though V was the last to be revealed for the group. Jimin was the last to be accepted into the group. Last thing guys, their name BTS, even if it turned out to be Young Nation, which from what I remember was actually what they were planning to go with, and if they did they wouldn't have had to change their name as they got older. Examples of groups that didn't have to/or need to change their names as they got older: 1. New Edition 2. New KIDS on the Block 3. Backstreets Boys 4. Boys II Men None of these groups had to change their names as they got older and all of them are still together, sans only one, New Edition (even though every once and a while they do a tour, for the fans.) So you see they wouldn't had to change their name IF they chose Young Nation. But that is just my opinion. BTW ARMY, if I made a mistake on any of the info, please help me out and correct the info. And please remember this is info i have read and seen over the years. Doesn't mean I'm wrong, just means i read incorrect information, just correct it for me please. Tbh all the members were close to leaving or left the band at some point before debut: RM - seriously debated about leaving the band when BigHit changed the band concept from a hiphop group to a Kpop group after promising him a hiphop contract Jin - debated leaving the group pre-debut bc he was still learning dance and vocals (since he was scouted off the street) and wasn't sure if he could fit in Suga - debated leaving when he was still stuck as a trainee almost 3 years in and didn't believe he would ever debut, also had crushed his shoulder after getting hit by a car during his delivery job and couldn't dance well because of it (but was also too afraid to tell the company about it and just kept to himself) J-Hope - as mentioned in the video, left the group shortly before debut, although it's not mentioned the exact reason, it was likely due to the limitations of the company, since he mentioned he only returned because he trusted the members Jimin - also as mentioned, nearly didn't make it multiple times, and had the shortest training period before debut V - mentioned during a concert that during pre-debut, he felt he wasn't up to par and was only able to stay in the band with the support and guidance from the other members Jungkook - not only is it crazy that he even joined BigHit in the first place when he got initial offers from 7 different entertainment companies, almost all of which were much better off than BigHit at the time, but was almost kicked off the team when they deemed him too shy to debut, and had stage fright to the point of not being able to sing even in front of the members So long story short, BTS were really meant to be together! jimin almost didn't make it because he had the shortest training period (1 year) while everyone else had 3-4 years of training to perfect their singing, dancing, stage presence, dieting, media training, etc. he was so stressed and struggling mentally because of the pressure and his dream almost being taken away but his talent couldn't be ignored and he stepped up despite being the least polished. fun fact: rm actually went home for a visit and almost left bts right before debut. his dad had to convince him for hours to go back because he'd regret it. jungkook wanted to leave because he missed home and his family too much (he was a child). most of them almost didn't make it. bts had everything going against them.

Yup exactly that. Jimin was cut actually 13times from Bts and it was due to the company thinking he might not fit in with the image. V was a secret member and was announced exactly a few days before debut. J-Hope left the company and Bts because he thought that Bts weren’t going to make it. And Jungkook cried and asked him to stay along with RM convincing BigHit to take him back. And RM recently said that a few weeks or months leading to BTS debut he ran away as well. But his dad convinced him to go back to the group. Another fact is Bts were made around the member RM back in 2010 due to line up changes.

The main consideration Jimin almost did not get selected to debut was not because of Jimin's style or talent. People are saying that Jimin's contemporary dancing doesnt fit in, but hello he has been doing street dancing & hip hop for many years, before enrolling in arts school. He knows his shit. He was casted as main dancer & lead vocalist right off the bat. Heavy positions (rank 1 & 2) in both dancing & singing considering Tae & Jin were casted as sub-vocalists (rank 4) while JK as main vocalist & dancer (rank 1 & 3), jhope as main dancer & rapper (also rank 1 & 3). Bang PD is confident about Jimin but he asked the members about Jimin to suss out Jimin's synergy & dynamics with the group. Because Jimin has been living with them the shortest. Hence that interview with tae saying he wanted to debut with Jimin. This was the consideration. His short training time. Jimin joined as trainee late and had only 9 months of training. Some idols trained for 10 years before debut. On average most has 3 years. Unlike Hueningkai from txt who has been singing professionally since a toddler, Jimin has 0 singing experience. So its totally understandable if a trainee with no related experience under a year of training do not get to debut so quickly. Jimin being selected to debut with important positions despite a short training period means that BigHit has big faith in him. After he was selected Jimin worked really hard, harder than the rest to prove his worth. He even starved himself to fit into WINGS' sexy concept. This "not fitting into a concept" is many years down the road, not at the point of debut. You can see how different Jimin look like in pre-Wings era and after (he was muscular, chubby). The diets weren't good but he is past that stage thankfully and living healthy now. These days you can see Bang PD genuinely smiling big when watching Jimin. He also mentions Jimin a lot. He is very proud of Jimin. I guess he is happy with his decision to debut Jimin with the rest. Jimin is the most popular idol in Korea at present. He is crowned by korean media as the IT boy, King of Kpop and Face of Kpop. Thanks for this - I hadn't seen this video, and even though I knew most if not all of the facts I enjoyed your reactions. Jin's bendy fingers are a genetic thing and if he gets cold he has a lot of pain in his hands, even though he doesn't complain about it - you'll see in some videos he's clutching hot packs to get rid of the pain. RM is from near Seoul, but it's the city of Ilsan - really nice town. Suga still has problems with his shoulder following a collision with a car when he was a trainee and doing a PT delivery job for much needed money - never told the agency for fear of being kicked out and was never treated. There must be so many stories from their past which might shock people, but for me the MOST SHOCKING thing is how much we all know about them, how open they are and how much they are willing to share.

Jimin almost didn't make it because of his dancing style is more to modern dance... His movement is to smooth and flow... So they wonder if his style could fits BTS concept... But then Jimin worked so hard to made his movement more sharp and powerful, and with V's help to convinced BH that he liked Jimin to debut with him, then we have Jimin in BTS. Thank God... And after sometimes... They let Jimin with his own style bc Jimin's dancing style became one of the unique style in BTS choreo.... J-Hope came back because he trusted the guys. I don't think it was about him not thinking they'd make it. Pre-debut, Hoseok was not popular. Despite being really well known amongst kpop trainees because of his talent, the GP didn't like him because they didn't like his look. It must have been hard on him to sign up for the group knowing the hate that was going to come his way. But RM was convinced they needed him. The boys talk all the time to this day about how J-Hope is the pillar of BTS. He's their teacher and the one who keeps everyone on track. RM calls him the second leader. He's like this center, not only professionally but as far as his personality goes. He kept them balanced. So losing him was a huge blow. I'm so grateful everything worked out. :)

As others mentioned RM is from Ilsan thats within the Gyeonggi providence which is near Seoul. Jin is also from the Gyeonggi providence but from Gwacheon if I'm not mistaken.🤷🏾‍♀️

I can provide some info about Jimin leaving~ Don’t quote me on this as I’m not sure this is 100% (you might wanna check, again, please do not take my words as fact)! Trainees will typically undergo evaluations regularly to make sure they are ready to debut~ I think that those 8 times were 8 different evaluations that didn’t look to promising. Context! Jimin was the last member of BTS to join the group, his training period was only a year, which is short compared to most trainees. He was an excellent dancer before joining the group, but singing is something he had to work on (that’s why you might notice him being insecure about his voice). There could have been other factors so please correct me if I’m wrong or add something I missed :3

Jimin didnt make it because he did modern dance and bts’s concept was hiphop so he had a hard time doing hip hop dances since he trained as contemporary dancer for years, which is so different from street dance and hip hop like hoseok’s style. It has nothing to with his voice.

I don't know exactly what to believe because someone said it's due to his contemporary dance style and they were heavily hip hop group in the beginning while others said it's due his singing as he's been the last member to join BTS and has trained less than a year and not good enough for debut. But at the end he has managed to debut as main dancer and lead vocalist so I don't know.

RM was not born in Seoul but his family moved there when he was in Junior high/high school (can't remember when exactly). So he is not technically from Seoul even though he doesn't have an accent when speaking Korean. Jin is the same. His family moved to Seoul when he was a teen as well, though he talks with a slight accent from the area that his mum is from. A Mama boy :)

Jimin didn't do anything wrong, he was the last to come and the one that received the least training before the debut. He is the hardest worker in BTS(admitted by the members) and I am sorry because it messed up with his head. Jimin struggled a lot with self confidence in the past but it is not surprising if at such a young age you were constantly threated to be thrown out constantly. No wonder he started to question is he was enough. I am glad Jimin fought for himself and demonstrated that he is an angel of immense talent.
