"Why is YG holding them back?" has been the biggest question since their debut; by fans, the media and the girls themselves. The real issue with BLACKPINK has always centered around their comebacks. They debuted with only TWO songs in August 2016, then another TWO in October 2016. Then it was EIGHT MONTHS later, June 2017 when they dropped ONE song. After that it took ONE FULL YEAR, June 2018 until they dropped FOUR songs. Then another TEN MONTHS until they dropped their last FOUR songs. As of now it's Three years, Eight months and only Thirteen total songs, the majority of them are record-breaking hits. Last February their CEO stated that they would have Two Comebacks and all three remaining solos by the end of 2019. Go figure. That's why BLINKS are known for waiting and why we love the girls so much. We know how much stress they have on them, they must think that they are disappointing us but we know it's not their fault. We love them unconditionally and will wait as long as it takes, because that's what love is all about. They have been sincerely sweet, humble and always surprised at how loved they are, they truly deserve much more success and opportunity than their company has given them.

YG has always been like that, not just to BP. It's how YG works. They prefer quality over quantity. They don’t treat artists like working machines for profit. The girls hardly show up but their fashion, concept, music, everything is all on top and well made. Plus, the company went through a nightmare during Kill This Love era, became the most hated company in Korea, even the founder had to leave and now you guys saying like they WANT to hold BP back so that they can collapse easier. YG needs to fix their problems but you guys also need to stop making people think BP is suffering from an evil company that treats them terribly. They're living the most comfortable and weathy life compared to all the girl groups in kpop.

Look at 2NE1, who had more content but were not supported by YG which led to their disbanding. I agree, something is fundamentally wrong with YGE and they're not learning from their mistakes and underutilizing their talent.

You were correct, Jisoo is oldest, then Jennie. As the two oldest they are the "unnie"'s, which means "older sister". Next oldest is Rosé, then Lisa, but they're only one month apart. Lisa is the "maknae" which means "youngest", but Lisa and Rosé together are called the "maknae line", while Jisoo and Jennie are the "unnie line". You may hear Lisa and Rosé refer to their elders as "Jisoo unnie" and "Jennie unnie".

Answers to questions: "Why YG is holding them back?" - Blinks cannot be too sure for the answer to this because obviously we don't know what's really happening inside their company, but YG is taking all the blame because he had broken promises and he seems to pay more attention to other groups than the girls. The fact that Blackpink doesn't have a full album yet in the span of three years is really crazy. "What do they do now? When they don't have a comeback?" - I do know that they are currently preparing for their comeback (we don't know when) so we can assume that they still do practice alot and they are models so they have photoshoots for magazines, attending fashion weeks, guesting in some variety shows, and Lisa is a mentor in a chinese program. So they're not that free to go and mingle with their family, but they do, just a little. "What kind of fights do they have?" - I know one, but it's not that serious, it's actually funny, it's more like a bickering than a fight. This was when Jisoo is doing a vlive and Rosé and Lisa are arguing in the background. Lisa bought snacks for herself, and when the time Lisa decided to eat it, Rosé already did, not knowing who's the owner, they shouted at each other but eventually Rosé said sorry and they eat together and they both made a deal to buy new snacks together. All four of them went through so much. Lisa bravely packs her bag at such a young age of 14. Leaving her family and friends behind and went to an unfamiliar country. Hello, guys. They're suppose to have their comeback at the 1st quarter of this year. But there was a press release from YG, stating the postponement of it due to the virus outbreak. Cos in Kpop, a comeback would mean a lot of promotional stuff, including their world tour. So it is more of an health issue, really.

Some of the members bought their own house/apartments and yes, they do get to spend time with family when they don't have a schedule (no comeback, photoshoots, etc.). The members keep their living arrangements private but I'm pretty sure they either live very close by and/or stay in their shared dorms when the are preparing for a comeback or their parents aren't around. Also, the girls' familes went to many of their concerts on the world tour. And I can say with certainty that the girls do not practice everyday when they aren't preparing for an album. Overall, the journey to debut was definitely the hardest hurdle they had to overcome. Lots of the other trainees ended up leaving because of how stressful and isolated the training was and bcos there was not even any guarantee of debuting.

One of the reasons they were so busy is that they had their world tour and Coachella. Which basically means YGE group that half of the whole year you spend practicing. YGE cares the most about concert stages because they believe only if your concert is good and you win the fans hearts that they will stay as fans for long time. That's why Blackpink improved so much since their debut compared to other groups who don't spend too much time practicing after debuting. Also every member personally is very busy with their modeling advertising gigs traveling the world etc. Since their full album is coming out soon it means YGE will do anything possible to make it a success since they see every song as main song on an album. I know many people hate this but all yg groups are based on this harsh training before and after debut very strict deadlines for songs and albums but in return they have the best budgest for mvs concerts fashion etc. YGEs motto currently is Vibe the new flow and I feel like Blackpink perfectly fits this. Random fact: the group had their name as pink punk but changed it later and I hated it xD but seeing their personalities it fits Blackpink(savage but cute) the best!

hi! i’m a blink from the future, after the HYLT comeback!! lol. anyways i’m just here to express my opinion that BLACKPINK have one of the most loyal fanbases out there. it’s not easy to stick with a group after constant promises being broken by their company and endless amounts out waiting with little to no promotions. but i think we always manage to stay and wait because we can only imagine how they must feel being told that their comebacks are being postponed, as well as their debut. they’ve worked so hard and always put their best effort into what they put out, so the _least_ we can do is stick by them and support them. it’s a blinks duty, and sadly the wait time is just what comes with it. but it’s always worth the wait in the end.

We do know that the girls usually spend their off time with family (when they aren't busy preparing for an album or traveling), Rosé Jisoo and Jennie's family are currently living in korea so they do see each other often and I believe that Lisa's parents try to come as often as they can and stay with Lisa in her appartement. I don't think they currently live together anymore as Rosé said that she was staying with her parents in an ig live and Jennie also seem to be doing the same, Lisa mentioned living with her mom too and I don't know about Jisoo I don't recall her mentioning anything about that, also Jisoo did mention being in "Lisa's appartement" in a live from last year which pretty much confirmed that they did not currently live together anymore.

Check out Lisa's appearance at Celine's Spring Paris Fashion Show. It was total pandemonium outside the venue as fans were cheering for Lisa, at the amazement and bewilderment of other celebrities in attendance. It happened again in Milan Prada Show earlier this year. So to answer your question as to whether they get to see their family during this down time. The answer is no. They're still out there making tons of money for YG, while still preparing for their comeback. I think the short answer to why their comebacks take so much time is perfectionism. There is a clip someone took while walking outside YG headquarters of Lisa singing forever young years before they even debuted, which means that they really use a lot of time perfecting their songs, instead of releasing mediocre songs. This is probably as much YG as it is BP, but if Teddy Park is to produce all these perfect songs for them, while they need to be comfortable with them, know that they are able to sing them while dancing, etc. etc. it probably takes a while.

Right now they're working on their album, probably just watching Netflix and playing with their pets. The company has a lot of plans this year but thanks to the coronavirus we're going to starve longer. Big Bang, their senior group was suppose to perform at Coachella but it was postponed. Treasure, a new YG boygroup will set to debut this year along with another new YG girl group possibly next year. BLACKPINK's comeback will most likely be in June/July and closer to comeback date is when they begin getting into shape and preparing for promotions (if YG wants to promote them properly)

We (BLINKs), don’t really know what happens when they have a break, but from what we see on social media and stuff like that, they are at the Studio preparing for a new comeback or doing photo shoots for magazines like vogue or hosting shows. It’s not like they can do whatever they want. They are busy during breaks too, it’s really hard for them and as Jennie (my bias uwu❤️) said, it hurts her feelings to see us BLINKs waiting fo so long for another comeback. Multiple reasons for BlackPink's lack of music and long delays in between comebacks. In the beginning, BlackPink simply was not a top priority for YGEntertainment. It still had Big Bang, Ikon, Winner, and contractual issues with 2NE1. Later, YG began hitting hard times financially and comebacks and new releases were simply too costly, despite BlackPInks early successes. And yes, the boy groups were still of higher priority Then when BlackPInk hit it big globally with DDu-Du-DDu-Du, they began becoming more profitable through other ventures, especially with touring and product endorsements. Thus they were becoming considered as models more so than a music act. So essentially, YG was milking them for as much profit without having to fork up the cost of a comeback. Then finally, the Coronavirus hit S. Korea so hard that the whole country was practically on lockdown. Other artists still came out with new releases. But BlackPink was planning a global schedule with another world tour and other major projects that was made impossible because of the pandemic. A lot was invested in their upcoming comeback. YG is simply waiting for the air to clear.

I think their comeback will be April, which will make it a year since we got a comeback. But they said we are getting a global project and we also speculate we are finally getting a full album instead of a mini album.
