She is an incredible character! Airbrushing definitely had it's set of challenges but I adapted and learned very quickly once I just dove it and went for it. I practiced with it for maybe 5 minutes lol then just jumped right into airbrushing the headpiece. Airbrushing is honestly, amazing I love it. Definitely plan to do more airbrushing in the future so I can hone on those skills😊Glad you liked it Andrew, thank you for watching weeee

Lauren,If you ever revisit this cosplay, nay I suggest you apply thin layers of paintable caulking to the each seam in the head piece to hide the seams.

There were definitely some challenges with it being my first time working with EVA foam, airbrushing, and also special effects but I love a good challenge! Was a great learning experience for me and I plan to take the skills that I've learned and apply it to my next cosplay😄I thought about breaking the process down a little bit more but was hesitant to turn it into a tutorial type video. This was my first time doing special effects and that was really fun to mess around with. I totally get the feeling of being your own worst critic on projects because I feel that way about my own work, too.. and I'm sure you've heard this a bajillion times before, but the more you do it, the better you'll get at it + there's lots of good info out there about smoothing seams, laying down paint and making things look perfect. If you're like me, time is your biggest enemy. That being said, overall I think you made a totally badass cosplay and the montage at the end was like something straight out of Mando. Good work.

Hey Lauren, maybe in the next set of them you could being in college level actors who will work for free in exchange for some demo reel material. Just a thought. I see that enhancing concepts like the Alien coplay that you did earlier. I think in some instances small moments of interaction with other actors can sell the cinematic even more. I have all of these incredible ideas for films I'd love to create one day and have thought about possibly hiring actors for projects in the future. Would love to maybe hire some film students or something, once I get to a place where I can compensate the actors that would be incredible to do. If I had a full production team and actors there's no telling what I could create! That would be a dream honestly, would love that truly. You should play with the air brush. You can do some great effects with it and masking tape

Very awesome work!!👍 Have you considered using caulking or some type of Gap filling substance to fill in the seams on the head piece? I'm not sure what her armor looks like I know for like painting miniatures you can get airbrush paints like a bronze to go as an undercoat underneath like a silver or a metallic color and it kind of gives it a more realistic look. Citadel used to have something called TIN BITS was a paint color it was a bronze like Color I used to use to achieve this effect. They've since changed their paint line so I don't know what the new replacement color is for that.

I didn't even think of using caulking but that is a great idea! Good thinking Geerladenlad. I did use gesso to try and disguise those seams a little more then sand it down for a more smooth appearance but that didn't work as well as I had hoped. I hope to perfect that in the future so that there are no gaps/seams or anything like that, more flush appearance. I appreciate the great suggestions thank you and thank you for watching weeee!😄

Very Cool! Great job for your first time working with foam. Check out Punished Props and Kamui Cosplay YT for great videos. they give great tips on working with foam armor and helmets. I’ve been successful with using cheap foam floor mats you get at home centers. It’s thicker than what you used but works well

Will definitely check them out thank you! I am definitely open to tips on how to improve my technique with the EVA foam. I really want to work on getting those seams more flush so that there are no gaps or anything like that. Not bad for my first time trying it, definitely was a great learning experience😄I've seen people use those mats you are talking about! I think next time for making the armor I may use thicker foam than what I used. It worked great for the headpiece but the armor I think the thicker foam would've been better for sure. There is alot of how to ashoka videos out there also, but you did a great job!
