There's always a reason whether it be mental health, abuse, physical issues and health concerns, the list goes on and second I don't judge anyone based on apperance, especially since the nastiness people I've known in life have been relatively skinny with ugly personalities. I honestly think someone bigger can play a very genuine role in a drama and even though you wouldn't enjoy it, people like me who like people as they are and not on their weight, well they'll be watching the drama.

Celebrities have to be fit and look healthy and to them that is being skinny. Skinny is the norm in Asian cultures and a beauty standard here kind of like how thick and curvy is in the western world. I am sure there lots of western shows with girls and romances like you want to show. Cultures shouldn’t and don’t have to conform to your taste unless they are slowly going through changes themselves. It’s kind of like how straight skinny figures were more in back then in Asian cultures and now it’s a hourglass skinny that is in. As a plus sized woman myself, so want to say that I wish we would not glorify being overweight, but nevertheless treat overweight people with respect. It is one thing to ask someone to be healthy because you care; a totally different story to judge someone and treat them horribly. It isn't healthy for us to be overweight; but it isn't the appearance that we should love about each other. Love should be about the person that we are, and the person that we are has nothing to do with our weight. Clearly, the woman that this actress portrayed is an amazing and beautiful soul. What makes you think they've hugged? Some couples, especially in Korea can be very conservative when dating, and holding hands or pecking on the lips being the most they've done is kinda standard. Since he's blind, she'd have to be the one to take initiative which clearly she would not do. And it's not like he's gonna try and force her either. If she's doing her best to keep him from touching her body, he can only guess so far. But she also can't tell how much he would have figured out and truly believes it worked because she believed that if he knew he would have left her already. Meanwhile even if he knows, he wouldn't say anything because he really does love his girlfriend and doesn't care about her weight.

Most people who are large can't just lose weight because they exercise or eat healthy, if it was that easy they wouldn't keep tolerating all the insults and shame society hits them with every day. Society loves to dismiss that some people's health is what causes their weight, not the other way around. Hormones, chronic injury, family history, mental health, etc all play a part in how the body gains and holds weight. People who starve themselves with diets or due to poverty or famine will usually gain and hold more weight once they have food, and also pass that down to their children. It's the body's response to disasters so that people can survive longer without starving. That's why diets don't work and you gain even more weight when you go off a diet, and why skinny people sometimes have very large children. Because they starve themselves every day to stay skinny but children need a basic amount of food just to live so even forcing children onto a diet will only make them malnourished until they get sick then gain weight later. Even celebrities who lose weight can only do it by working out with a personal trainer 8 hours a day, eating a special diet provided by a nutritionist, and even then still get secret surgery. Then when they get too tired, or the movie has finished filming, or they can't afford it anymore, they gain weight again and end up in tabloids. The truth is, "lose weight" is almost never about getting healthy, no one cares if its only a little fat over a lot of muscle or if their body type is evolved like like after many generations of large strong ancestors, all people care about is looking small. Girls with wide skulls are trying to make their ears look bigger so their face looks smaller by comparison, and shaving the bone in their jaws to be more pointy. If this girl lost weight she'd just be compared to other skinny girls anyway and there is no end of criticism for skinny girls either. Even if she's the same weight as other girls will she be more beautiful or will people just move to criticize her face, glasses, haircut, makeup, clothes, teeth, size of her breast and butt, size of her feet, her grace, her laugh, her everything else about her other than just her weight?
