It’s funny, The Darkness sort of played along at first. They made a couple of decent jokes. But then they lost interest. But their exit was harsh and Adam’s reaction was classic Adam. I give Drew credit for standing up and confronting them right off by saying wait a minute people who listen to you might benefit from your perspective.

What a bunch of frauds to claim you are a rock n' roll band and then get weirded out by the brutal honesty of reality. Absolutely pathetic.

@@LilSkott They are entitled to feel however they want, but they come across as posers. Rock and roll has the connotation of sex, drugs, and sleaze attached to it. It's supposed to be about the embracing of hedonism and full throttle exhilaration, excitement, and reckless abandon, so when a band such as The Darkness in particular like to market themselves as such, and then they act like a bunch of prudes here because someone is being a dick or the material is too serious for them it just comes off as fake and an act.

They did the right thing opting out of this show early. Some of the callers need serious help, not two bozos on the radio trying to pull in ratings and a perverse nation of voyeristic idiots listening to the callers problems while going about their daily lives. This show is clearly not about music. Rape, medical issues, drug addiction is not the bands field of expertise, they are not psychologists and are certainly not in any position to dish out advice to people who clearly desperately need professional help. I can imagine the band were very, very ill at ease as any normal person would be. They were polite when they left, explained why they were leaving and anyone who interprets this as otherwise needs to take a good hard look at themselves and question why they themselves take such a perverse pleasure in listening to people's deepest problems so much and expect a rock band to assist in this type of idiocracy. Personally I can't believe anyone would listen to this show, it's appaling. The reality TV of radio....
