Haha I was just watching a clip of “In the Soop” on Twitter where they were trying to remember why they even had some of their early “fights” living in the dorm. They said in one fight Yoongi threw his hat and shoe at Namjoon when they were picking rooms lol

This is from their last album, BE, which they had a major hand in putting together from every aspect of its creation, including designing the album, obviously JK shooting this touching and lovely video, as well as obviously creating the music. There are some scenes that are esp meaningful to ARMY in this video, such as Tae looking over at Jamsil stadium as he's driving, the last place where they performed live, and the ending scene in which the audience was replaced with the ARMY bombs (lightsticks) meant to be our placeholders. It's pretty emotionally a gut punch, driving home that feeling of what we lost and have continued to be deprived of in this time.

All 7 of them actually live together so it's technically quarantine friendly. The apartment where they filmed it is actually their own dorm in Hannam the Hill. The scene where they are all sitting in a sofa and the others are on the floor is their actual dorm living room. The bedroom with the 2 beds is Jimin and Jhope's real life bedroom.

But like V and Jin, they both own apartments in Hannam The Hill as well, in the same complex as their dorm so they most probably live there when their schedule isn’t hectic.

Well, it is quarantine friendly as most of the time they live together in their so-called dorm (it's the apartment that the company bought for BTS) during their pandemic days. It's only during breaks and personal matters that they went back to their family home or their own home, if not they spent almost 360 days out of 365 together... Jin once said this in an interview.

7:33 btw the lights at the back are army bombs (the light sticks) so they represent army. I also don't think this was them remembering the past but instead it actually depicts their present reality where they have to perform in empty places without army, hence why it's in black and white. Interesting what you said about how JK likes building worlds and showing the environment to tell the story - when Tae is driving, he looks over to the Seoul Olympic Stadium where they performed the last time - back at the end of October 2019, the last concert of their world tour. He definitely put me there - made me cry when I saw it. I wonder how it is for them just driving casually about Seoul and seeing the place where they've performed for 70,000 people in a night. And how it feels for them now coming up on 2 years of not getting to perform. The video made me think about that.

This song is the first and only Korean language song to debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. BTS are a family, they live together, so yes, this is quarantine friendly. Some of them have separate houses, but they all have an apartment that they live together, because it's more practical when they are actively working on projects together. Also, I believe this is their dorm apartment they filmed at.

In one shot they film the stadium which they have held concerts is when color came in and the ending the lights are fan lightsticks which people take to their concert. This song gave me chills, almost like spring day. Spring day is definitely on a whole other level, but Life goes on gives me the same kind of vibes, same kind of chills, especially the part when Jin closes his eyes and they sing in an empty stadium. The first time I watched it, I was already tearing up and when Taehyung (V) was singing "I remember" I remember crying a lot. For a bit more context, when they released this music video, I had actually got covid and was quarantining in my room, and I had lost my job just a day before because of it, and they released "life goes on". I was just stressed about my future and how I was going to survive. So when I saw the music video, all my stress just came out and I was bawling my eyes out. Now I have recovered and I was able to somewhat get back on my feet, but really BTS just have impeccable timing with their releases and I'm thankful to them for giving me hope through their music.

I burst into tears at the first line of the song when it came out. “One day the world stopped” said it so well. I guess I had a lot of bottled up stress. Suga let us know that one way we can keep in touch is telepathy (Telepathy is the name of a song of his on the BE album) The whole album is very good. I hope you have a chance to enjoy it.

Them in the car together was not supposed to represent the past as in the very beginning we see Tae in the car taking his mask off. They all live together and quarantine together. Them being in the same car wasn't about the past, it very much represented their present when they made the MV. Then they pass by the stadium and Tae looks at it longingly. That was where they performed their last concert.

Another fun fact is that the color photos/videos you see them looking at are the time they spent together at bed and breakfasts, the latest being while they were filming "In the Soop" since due to the pandemic they could not go out of the country to shoot a "Bon Voyage" for 2020. Just so you know they they not only produce "BTS Run" videos once a week, (like a weekly variety show) but they also make a once a year vacation show called "Bon Voyage" so from 2013 to today there is a full year of "Run" shows but then once a yr "Bon Voyage". This last year though it was all done within the country of Korea.

When editing the final video he removed 50% of the original footage that was going to be used as it was just more of the "concert" footage.... he replaced it with the footage he took at that house with the yard and them all together where you see his camera.... as you said - he wanted to show the story of living in the pandemic for them, not just concert or dancing/singing footage...but relatable for everyone living in 2020..... also, They share a huge dormitory so social distancing from each other is not an issue, hence no masks... but they are iosolated from everyone else... like all of us stuck home with our families watching old movies cause youve seen everything on netflix,,,lol

There were a few symbolic moments tied to the lyrics that others may have pointed out: 1:44 When RM sings "It looks like rain again today" but the shot is in full sunshine; 6:41 when you noted that things started to become more colorful again, it was a cut to Seoul Olympic Stadium where BTS closed out their Speak Yourself tour in October 2019 (not quite their last public performance but their last stadium concerts); 7:00 Jin sings "To that future, let's run away" while the other members are sleeping in the background and it cuts to a black/white stage performance with ARMY bombs substituting as the audience with V singing "I remember..." - I've never interpreted the black/white montage as a memory but a projection of Jin's hopes. ARMY is forever their light so it made sense that the ARMY bombs would stand-in as ARMY itself. It is beautiful but almost too perfect, maintaining that dream-like state to the end because reality is too harsh. We were in the middle of the worst of the pandemic at the time of the MV so I get why a release from the burdens would be welcome. Looking forward to your reaction to the sketch and/or behind the scenes of the MV.

Every part of their creation of the BE album is documented on their KZbin channel. BE was like that but I’m not sure if every album is going to continue to be like that. Anywho, all their thought processes for BE are already documented in their 2020 YT lives. One thing that i like about BTS is that they always participated on the creation of their songs/albums and with time they're are more and more as we can see with BE! The BE album was made specifically by them, each member was in charge of something, that's why JK directed the MV(and I hope he gets to do it again too)! JK's filming style is really interesting to me because it feels like he's showing us the world through his eyes. It's less of a "building the world" thing, and more of him sharing his perceptions - drawing us to look at the people and scenery around him in the way that he sees them. The world is already there, but he wants us to see it in a particular way. BTS are known for connecting with their fans by giving us behind the scenes looks into their lives and careers through VLives, Bangtan Bombs, and other media, but JK's GCF and the Life Goes On MV take it a step further and have the more intimate and personal feel of home movies, which I really love.

This song is very special beside it is so personal bcoz all 7 members contributed in the production process of the album the bedroom (jhope & jimin's) and living room location is their REAL dorm (apartment).
