The funny thing about this skit is that the issues they tackled here are actual issues they had in their dorm before. Oh, the repeat thing is yes a thing in Korea, especially in variety shows. It's a way to show all the people's expressions at that moment. it used to annoy me too getting reactions repeated like 5 times or for all the people right there but that grew into me and I actually really enjoy it now. I even try to wait for cuts like that when watching variety shows and makes me disappointed if they didn't do it hahahaha

Jin is a phenomenal actor. He, as a person is over the top--a lot of times when he goes on shows people comment that the way he talks and his mannerisms are very dynamic and kind of a spectacle. But he's trained in film and theatre (has a degree from a top school in it) and he brings great subtlety to his roles. Plus he's got impeccable comedic timing. Tae is a great actor too! But all the boys did really well in this. You have to love Hobi's commitment to his character and his confidence. haha. And all their lips looked perfectly glossy. haha. I think this definitely was filmed in like a Korean sitcom style so some of the stuff that seemed out there was just down to different film/tv cultures.

THIS WAS SO MUCH FUN! Your input about how a set works helped to understand allllll of the work and setup it takes to film. The guys definitely have some ability to act as you mentioned from all of their work over the years. They have an amazing crew for their Run, In The Soop and Bon Voyage series, who know and clearly enjoy working with them. Thus far Tae's the only one to have done any formal acting in the Hwarang series, though Jin has a Master's in dramatic arts.

JIn and V standout and I love how all the member contributed ideas, but I am surprised no one is talking about J-Hope. He is also a great actor, very good with improv. And his ideas very spot on! Jin was studying to be an actor when he was recruited to big hit and V was an actor in the drama Hwarang so has some experience with filming that is why they made him the director.

Dalbang Dorm drama was about their everyday life together in an exaggerated form! Jin normally react that way but he of course put so much exaggeration to make it funny! Jungkook is like that, when he was given a task or a job… he wants to finish it doing his best such as doing the slate. V gives away some of his stuff to the other members just like how he did in this BTS drama. JHope is the most organized and the tidiest of them all while Jimin literally likes to lay down on the floor that the other members would just step pass over him. And RM also know as the god of destruction tends to break things even just by holding or touching it! Nyahahaha Yes, BTS did their own script if I remember it right. BTS are good actors and ARMYs have been asking for a movie or a series with BTS as the actors for a long time now. BTS is the best! There’s nothing like BTS!

You're right, a shot repeating a few times is common in korean dramas, reality shows etc. I dont like it too much either, it gets annoying after a whie but i learned to get used to it lol

It takes a while to get used to that Korean repeated scene thing, but after like, 10 years of watching kdrama comedies, I don't even think twice (or four times) about it anymore. They want to get every person's reaction in there, and it's just accepted that those scenes are happening simultaneously. 😋

I don't think they wrote the script But the script was based off on them The members live together and at first they had a lot of problems.. They have mentioned in various times before. That's why the script was made(Not by BTS) based on those problems they had when they started living together for example.. Jimin used to be very messy while J-hope loved when things are clean, Jin loved to cook, Suga loved to sleep, V had a habit of giving things he didn't need to the other members, Namjoon is the leader but also clumsy and breaks stuff and Jungkook bought a lot of stuff into his roo So yeah.. Everything was based on them irl

This was such a gift! I loved this reaction! As others have mentioned, there is a RUN episode of them dubbing this shortfilm, where they obviously grab the opportunity to make fun of each other. It's a great time. Also, yes, Seokjin acts so well with his face and eyes. Especially when JK has dragged the mattress into the room and the final cut is just Jin looking at the mattress and JK like 'what are you thinking??'

1:21:11 yes dramas tend to be a little over the top with the acting that’s why some of them where “overdoing it” when I got into Korean tv shows i kinda reacted the same way you did. I don’t know how to explain it but I genuinely think it’s a cultural thing, people do talk like that sometimes in real life and have a lot of corporal language and reaction soundsI (and as foreigners we hear it more since we’re not used to that; they kinda drag their syllables) Not to mention Jin is a really extra person overall😂. The scenes repeating it’s also a Kdrama thing lol they always shot the same scene in different angles like 4 times . Watching you react to this made me realize that I’m used to Korean shows now That I forgot I had the same reaction once haha. It’s always interesting to hear your input on the film industry and the different tools they use ,I felt really dumb when you explained the purpose of the slate is the sound it makes,,, i went 😧 for a couple seconds lmao everything made sense. Yes, a lot of K-Dramas tend to repeat pivotal moments to the story. Like a kiss, a fall, or a reaction that lets you know the scene is funny. It may be jarring to the flow, but I still find myself entertained. And I suppose you can’t have drama without some “melodramatic” moments, eh?

yeah, the scene repeating is prevalent in k-entertainment-dramas, sitcoms, variety shows, etc. the water coming out of jhope's mouth is also a common trope in kdramas and ksitcoms, as well as the over the top acting style, very korean sitcom-ish.

No LOL Korean dramas these days (since 2017 or something) are at the level of american shows and even better at some points. Especially their action dramas are so good. I don't like it when people assume that they're bad when they didn't even watch a single kdrama... I recommend The Devil Judge.

For some cosmetics, it better to save it at cool place such as toner, moisturizer, mask, etc. And in reality, it happened on BTS refrigerator where JK's cosmetic take more space at their refrigerator, not food lol.. this drama story can be said it get inspired or based on their real life at dorm, like almost no food at their refrigerator but a cosmetics, they "dump" their things that they dont use to other members as a gift, jhope loves cleaning n hate when see the boys being a mess etc 🤭

V is actually an actor, his debut was back in 2016 (i think). He was in a drama called 'Hwarang', he was one of the main characters I think. Since then he hasn't acted in a drama due to a busy schedule. (And a few more personal reasons ig)

In burn the stage he also mentioned how much pressure it was on him and how he felt that he messed up an important scene which made him depressed. I think that is the reason why Jin isn’t accepting any kdrama offers. Maybe after they have a less hectic schedule they both can give it a go !

that was SO fun to watch and im saying it as a person who can't normally watch videos this long. you should definitely watch some other episodes! and im sure that there're some mvs left as well, which is good actually :) it for sure takes time to get used to reading subtitles as there are seven of them and they speak all together, and there're also translations for other captions [like in this thing].. so yeah it is confusing... they're also joking around and being sarcastic quite a lot so you need to keep an eye on that too. watching run bts is a whole new skill that you'll acquire id say aha

Some parts of the script are things that actually happened in real life. Like V just putting the things he doesn't need anymore in others room, and RM giving Yoongi the things he buys online that don't fit him. Jhope being tidy and having everything neat is also what he does in real life. So either BTS themselves wrote the script or the writers put it because BTS have shared these stories already.
