The undisputed King of Details! I think my most recent flight into NYC (also on a Delta A320 MSP-LGA out of nextdoor Gate C2) did a classic Milton 4, and this was in January of 2020 just before the P hit and with snow still on the ground at MSP. I'm flying to NYC again next month, but this time into and out of Newark - and you can guess which airline those will be on :) - Red

2:34 Pete you were 10 ground min from my home in that pic! I know nothing about flight, yet grew up here in a regular path to land at Detroit Metro. Been in same area for 48 years. Seems as if air traffic above my house has greatly reduced in past couple of years or so. I know Detroit Metro has went thru major expansion and changes, maybe this is why. It's kinda weird to me but our airport located in Romulus Mi is surrounded by, um, kind of a dump. Leave the terminal here and there ain't crap locally near the airport. Only a handful of fast food even, and zero "good" restaurants. Nothing to do there. Just hop on i-94 and book it east or west either way for about 20 min to find any reasonable comfort zone. Too far east and you will be in the physically located heart, or center, of Detroit city. Some may call that a bad day however it IS getting somewhat better. Head downtown and a person not from here may actually like their visit.
@wotan109503 жыл бұрын
I used to have a satellite office in Detroit - specifically Livonia - and the old terminals were in pretty bad shape. Then a monumental hole was dug in the ground, and that became the new terminal. I’ve transferred many times through the new terminal, and it’s fantastic, especially the underground walkway with the lights/music show!

@PeterMasella Жыл бұрын
Hi Alicja. There are no commercial flights from Germany to New York LGA. I assume you are flying on a private aircraft since that is allowed if customs can be activated at LGA. If so, I'd pick the left side of the plane. It's best for landing on runway 4 or 31.

Awesome vid. Sorry to inform that One World Trade center is not the tallest building in America. Other towers in midtown have a higher roof height. Even the Sears Tower in Chicago is taller. If you stand on Sears Tower's roof, you would look down at the One World Trade Center. They just include the stick on top of the world trade center to make New Yorkers feel better, but I think that's pretty lame and New Yorkers don't need that.
@canyonoverlook99373 жыл бұрын
I have come to the conclusion that United, Delta and American are garbage airlines mainly because of the basic economy fare and luggage fees. It seems they are in the business of shipping luggage instead of transporting passengers because that is what the ticket revolves around. There is a basic fare of about 586.00 which includes a carry-on and personal item on Delta to London in January but it is 736.00 in the Main Cabin with a checked bag. A carry-on and personal item are more than enough for most people so now the fare just comes down to if I want to spend 150.00 on what amounts to insurance if I can't make my flight. Why should I have to make that decision? As soon as I get on the flight I will have wasted 150.00 dollars. From the start of buying a ticket, I have had a negative experience with these airlines. It is really terrible. Southwest is actually the elite airline because they have no checked baggage fees and no change fees. Then on top of that if I want to bring hiking poles I have to check a bag, so that would be 150 dollars just to pack hiking poles to Europe. Just charge by the weight of the bags. If you have status or a credit card then you can have a checked bag, carry-on and personal item for free like now.
