Perfect "HARMONY" what we see (Nottingham) and what we hear (New Orleans).

You have a lovely home Pops. I have never had the pleasure to visit England as of yet but would love to someday. It is steeped in history and tradition which is right up my alley. The first member of my family to come to the new world was supposedly from Somerset. The photos you chose were the perfect combination of urban and rural as well as natural and man made. Of course, the music was the icing on the cake!😊👍👍

Thanks for the kind words, Mark; and I hope you will make it here some post-Pandemic day.

Thanks, Pops. Dear old Nottingham - haven't been there since interpreting at the Crown Court some twenty years ago. Love the Tuba Skinny background music too. DMQ.

Thanks, DMQ. Your comment has made me watch the video again. I took many of the photographs while cycling around the region. Unfortunately, age has forced me to give up cycling since then; but I very much enjoyed those explorations by bicycle.

Nottingham, looks much more interesting than Northampton, even better with Tuba Skinny playing to enhance my experience. Thanks Pops 🤗
Great one Ivan. The sort of thing you can't just view once! Especially with our favourite band playing 'Sweet Like This'. I loved the two pictures 1906 - 2006. I didn't know you were that old!!!!

Great to hear from you, Ken. Actually, one of my grand-daughters is in the 2006 picture. She was tiny at the time but today she's just about to complete her degree course at university.

Thank you, Ivan. Beautiful music and great pictures. I understand that Nottingham is a very old town. Didn’t see much of the forest though. One statue that might be Robinhood.

Some of the shots reminded me of the TV program, All Creatures, Great And Small. Particularly the lineup of cars that look to have been from the 30’s. A much favorite program.

Yes, Nottingham has this annual show of vintage and veteran transport.

Thank you again, sir! Aston Villa is in Birmingham - not Nottingham - but you may have spotted the Trent Bridge Cricket Ground.

It never occurred to me before, Pops. But you most definitely do not have a Nottingham accent.

Stewart, my accent was picked up when I lived in London in the 1930s.

@@PopsCoffee I lived there 1951-1955,but now have a broad Devonshire accent! Which I was unaware of until 1984.

Yes, the acquiring and evolving of accents, especially if we move from region to region, is a fascinating topic.

@@PopsCoffee as I say, I have a broad accent. My sister were born in Devon, yet neither they, nor my two brothers, have any accent. We went to the same schools and knew the same people, though I was the only one who immersed himself in farm work, with its accompanying characters.

Understood. Interesting. Incidentally, I spent one year in the early 1960s living in Devon. I doubt whether it's left any trace on my accent.
