Onodi was so under appreciated. She had skills above the other girls but the code of points didn’t really reward extra difficulty back then. She was also a gorgeous girl, which also was overlooked. And the most beautiful move in gymnastics, , the Onodi on beam, was named after her.

Henrietta is so AWESOME! ....Even if she misses or makes a mistake she is still the best of the best.....No woman no girl has ever compared to her overall...specially on the floor....she does hard tricks while others take it easy......truly she is the best of the best!

Onodi & Raisman are my two favorite ladies of gymnastics, & there are a lot but these 2 for me the best in both athletic skills & very attractive

Her poor back was causing her issues I think, during this worlds. I loved her little touches, like when she starts bars just a jump full turn to catch, then kip to full turn grabbing high bar.. just a lil extra. Loved it. And that stick on her first pass, and second , on floor slay!

Amazing. I remember though that the 1991 Worlds Championships were a bad competition for Onodi. She even told it few months later in an Interview done in France (Paris-Bercy 1992). Thank you very much for this montage :)

She was struggling with a back injury in 91. Very brave. Let It be a warning for gymnasts to not do too many backbends, bridges, back walkover. Back walkovers are so bad for your back. Do them occasionally only coaches and gymnasts. Too many, for sure you will get a bad back.

poor thing...she's so talented despite the mistakes...just not a good competition for her that day - she really needed that floor routine though. glad she got it out of her system here to give us those great performances at the 1992 Olympics!
