Protective Brown Bear Mom Defends Cubs Against Predatory Rival Male | Love Nature

A mother brown bear guides her two young cubs through the forest, and through life itself. At just 4 months old, the cubs are completely dependent on her. To produce enough milk, she needs to consume 20,000 calories a day! Searching for food, the family finds a nice snack under some logs - ants. As the sun sets, danger is afoot. A male bear, more than twice the female's size, is in the area, which means the cubs could be in trouble. Male bears looking to mate are known to kill cubs to put the female back into estress. As the male gets closer, the mother bear stands her ground, and the male decides it's not interested in a confrontation; the cubs are safe for the night. The brown bear family stumbles into some bees. And where there are bees, there are honey! The bears enjoy a nice treat.

Yes, I am learning and see that male bears are dangerous to the bear cubs. Surprising to know that many cubs barely make it to their 1st birthday, sad. I wonder if this is because their momma dies in the confrontation with male bears.

I ❤ how mama bears are protective of their cubs and how she stood her ground against the male bear. I didn't know that male bears would go to attack the mama and her cubs. Jerk. Nature is something. I don't like how when a female cub when ready to mate again will leave her cubs to fend on their own. I guess it's the human Mom in me that can't adjust to that. However, some human moms do the same. Which is why not everyone deserves to be a Mom

Someone did a terrible job on this video! They probably show 30 different bears and two different bear species. Start off by showing a grizzly/brown sow and Cubs then it goes to a mother black bear and cubs then it's got a male grizzly trying to mate with a female black bear? Now it's showing a female grizzly/brown and two cubs 😂😂🙄 All I got to say is terrible job and thumbs down and it's very much deserved. I'm sick of clickbait videos like this
