They can slay rock too they should have go to pop and so they wouldn't disband. Yuki, Marin and Marina were selected for become rock musicians while Reina although had to sing with idols was/is a highly skilled singer with 10+ years of experience so they definitely could stay a real rock band.

Rocking out pretty good. Are they still together? I was exploring a lot of these Japanese girls a few years ago. Once I heard Band-Maid that was it so kind of forgotten some of the Japanese girls I first got into. I mean, Band-Maid, damn. Bass, Guitar and mainly,DRUMS! Akane is a monster.
