Such clear camera work and dialogue. Excellent tutorial, wish this had been around when I started sewing but it’s still really helpful with great tips for more experienced sewists. I’ve never regretted buying a love notions pattern. Great patterns and great instructions, thanks💕🧵

Hi Tami. You are a fantastic teacher! All my questions and uncertainties with the Melody pattern were addressed in this video. Please consider making more sewalongs - I would certainly purchase them as you are so clear and helpful! I don't have any friends or family who sew (I'm the most experienced LOL) to ask questions of. Thank you so much for this sewalong!

I bought the pattern but wasn't sure about making it (especially the collar). So, I'm happy there's a tutorial! Thank you! 😍

Hooray! The collar looks more complicated than it is, but I'm sure the video will still be helpful. ❤️ Happy sewing! ~J

When doing your measurements and picking the correct size do you look at the finished measurements on the pattern.
@LoveNotions3 ай бұрын
We recommend choosing your size based on the size chart, using the finished measurements to determine if that size will give you the ease you desire--patterns are drafted with a certain AMT of ease built in (whether positive or negative,) but as the Sewist, you can decide if that's what you want in your finished garment, especially for those at the ends of a size range. For example, if you're at the top end of a range, you may want to use the next size if your fabric has less stretch than patterned, or if you want a more relaxed fit, etc. Or if using a knit for a woven pattern, you may find you don't need the extra ease and size down. It's just another data point to help choose size. 😊 ~J

If you need to shorten the length wouldn’t you draw the line 1/2 in above the cut line and bring the bottom part up to the line to equal 1 inch?

You could do it that way also. I've not done it that way, but it would work. 😊 Thanks for watching! ~J
