Jin is the eldest member in BTS, but the maknae in his own family. He probably understood the complexities of being the youngest, so when he found young Jungkook crying one day and wanting to quit, Jin took him under his wings. (Back then, trainees couldn't see their families for long periods.) That is a very special bond established very early. Jin loves cute plushies...look at JK! xD Jinnie also drove JK to school, fed him, played with him, made sure JK felt loved and protected. During interviews, Jin always made sure he brought JK into the spotlight with him. The "fighting/hitting/bickering" is probably a more "appropriate" show of love/affection. Touch is healing. Skinship in K is a thing, and probably more so with a very close bond btw J and JK. Certainly, the label, staff and some members were not entirely comfortable with how the world would perceive as they are on-camera almost 24/7. However anybody wants to categorize the bond btw Jin and Jungkook, there is no denying that it is very special, sweet, loving and often hilarious. J often said he raised JK. I think NJ was the school teacher, Yoongi was the wise grandpa who plays when he has extra energy, Hobi was the older sibling who also wanted to play but had grown-up duties to tend to, and JM, Tae, JK were left in the sandbox to keep each other company while the "grownups" had duties to take care of. xDDD
