Lovina Beach Dolphins🐬 + Exploring Around Mt Batur in Bali Indonesia

We started our day with a very early morning boat ride out to see the dolphin migration at Lovina Beach in Bali. It was so wonderful to be out on the water as the island was just waking up. We were a little disappointed about the dolphin experience as we felt it was probably pretty terrifying for the dolphins. We didn't want to keep scaring the dolphins so we told Noman that we could head back to the beach. We had plenty more excitement ahead of us for the rest of the day.
After a massage for Deborah and a cold beer on the beach for Michael, Madee picked us up to drive us from Lovina Beach to Mt. Batur in the center of the island. We loved the Lovina Beach area and definitely felt that it was one of the best places to visit in Bali.
Driving on the roads in Bali was one of the most stressful parts of visiting Bali for Deborah. Driving on a tiny 2 way but 1-car width road, was not a fun time. We did our best to trust Madee's driving skills and to just take in the views.
The terrain and buildings changed as we went up the mountain and then we saw it. A volcano rising up to the sky! It was such a cool moment to see an active volcano for the first time and Mt Batur took our breath away.
We spent the rest of the day running away from stray dogs, almost getting hit by cars, and exploring the town. In general we spent the day preparing to hike a volcano the next day! (That video will be posted on 5/2/18).
