Loving Angels Care | Christine's Story

When Christine returned home after some time in hospital, she had lost her confidence and domiciliary care calls were not enough to meet her care needs. Christine was unable to be left alone for long periods of time. All care professionals involved as well as Christine's family agreed to set up a 24 hour live in care package.
When our live in care team was contacted, an assessment was organised in a timely manner with the care package starting a couple of days later. Our live in care team developed an outcome based care plan to help Christine gain her confidence. This included joint meal preparation and domestic duties, going for walks, using public transport to visit the town centre as well as food shopping.
Slowly Christine's confidence started to grow - Christine's family was happy with her progress and together we worked on a plan to reduce her live in care package to a few sleep ins during the week which was eventually brought to an end with Christine able to be left at home.
Today Christine continues to receive support from Loving Angels Care three times a week for social visits which includes visiting garden centres, food shopping and community support to visit coffee shops and walks in the park. We are proud of the progress Christine has made over the time we have supported her and look forward to more walks and coffees in the forseeable future.
