Agreed. So often you hear people saying, “hey man, I love you.” Or something similar when you get the idea they really don’t give a damn about you and it’s this deception of ‘love’ that will teach a generation what love actually ISN’T.

Christ Jesus said, love your neighbors including your enemies as you love yourself... but do not associate/mingle yourself with Evildoers... so if your enemies are evildoers, stay away from their actions, for it might corrupt you too, to do evil... Regarding loving your brother or sister in faith, CORRECTING or TELLING the TRUTH or DISAGREEING or DEBATING with your brothers and sister is most often perceived as HATE, while AGREEING with them is always perceived as LOVE... The Misconception of LOVE... Love does not necessarily always agree with somebody... Facts and Truth.

Isn't the love that we are talking about here agape love, like caring for someone. Example if they need something if they need clothes or food anything help them out isn't that agape love, isn't that the love Jesus was talking about not an emotional love.

@@josephkreischer7167 Just to be with the same understanding... Agape is not caring for someone, that is PHILIA... 3 Types of Love (categorically) 1. AGAPE - God's unconditional & divine love for Mankind,... 2. EROS - romantic/lovers/marriage (sex/procreation) love, ...and 3. PHILIA - Family/Brotherly/Sisterly/Neighborly like of love... This Blog Topic is all about AGAPE love, but my main comment/concern is about PHILIA (love), it is not about giving/sharing "material needs" to them which is much easier than giving love for telling the TRUTH based on the Bible, by CORRECTING or DEBATING with them, that most often PERCEIVED by the opposing party as HATEFUL... Most of the time, the TRUTH is painful to accept, but the Bible said, "it will set us free."... free from what?... from CONTINUOUS sinning thru physical, spiritual, and emotional, which eventually will create PEACE in our Heart and Soul... Amen.

@@josephkreischer7167 Christ Jesus never taught his Apostles that the word "LOVE" does not LIMIT to just providing the "material needs" of others, but to do beyond, by giving comfort thru Physical, Spiritual, and Emotional aspects of Human life... How?... Telling the TRUTH, which is the hardest part to do... Most Apostles and Disciples were MURDERED and Persecuted just for telling the TRUTH... Facts and Truth, Biblically speaking... Amen.
