I would agree, but I believe he’s pretty highly revered. It’s sad that artists with quality talent get pushed aside for a younger, flashier so called artists, when these older folks have plenty to offer still.

I saw Kris K. perform at the Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa several years ago, when he was 80yrs young. Have been to many, many concerts and rate his in the top 5. He sang alone playing acoustic unaccompanied while standing, no breaks or a drink of water. The crowd disappeared and the gorgeous singing “poet-soothsayer” sang around 30’ish songs in an hour and a half that landed, like a thud, straight into my heart. FOREVER a FAN!! ♥️😘♥️

Kris Kristofferson is an Army veteran - he was a Ranger and helicopter pilot. He volunteered to serve in Vietnam, but the Army wanted him to take a teaching position at West Point. Instead, he left the Army, moved to Nashville to follow his dream of becoming a singer/songwriter. Bottom line - just a great American!

@@AMEER-114-Wow, do you not realize how many songs Kris wrote for others? He’s hardly just a “stoned hippie intellectual”, he’s also a Rhodes Scholar. “He graduated Airborne School, Ranger School, and flight school, served in Germany, and volunteered for Vietnam as a helicopter pilot, but instead was offered a professor of English Literature position at USMA West Point.
