Another good video. I feel your pain about working in a hot garage. I’m in SE AZ and my garage gets all the afternoon sun in the summer. It gets hot. I got myself one of the portable evap coolers for the garage. It makes working in the garage much nicer. Keep the videos coming.

I have the one motor version on my 2018 Sierra and have been very happy with them - no issues to date

Gotta love power running boards! I got fixed ones on my Fords because the power ones flexed too much for my liking, but on my RAM they're much sturdier, so I got them. The built-in light is really neat!

Nice to hear your thoughts. I am going to getting the same truck in the Titanium Rush Metallic (Dark Gray).
@rudyyarbrough5122Ай бұрын
I just installed them on my new Colorado and one thing I learned the hard way is that if you are in a tight parking spot where the next vehicle is very close to your truck and you open the door while standing close to your truck, the step will come out and bite you pretty badly on the shin. This may not seem like much but the force is powerful and on a child, could break their leg.

Those are really nice. I had the factory power ones on my 07 Avalanche and loved them. I have a ‘13 Black Diamond Avalanche I’ll keep forever and may looking at doing some power ones at some point. I didn’t want them on the Jeep Gladiator because I do wheel it and have rock sliders there.

AMPs warranty and customer service is the worst...if you want these go through a shop that also supplies the steps

Miss your Ford but i do love the headlights on your truck how much do you think they cost LED the whole assembly

How did you hide the outlet/connector/wires on the outside of the truck? Whether my steps are up or down you can see them exposed and dangling...I can send a pic if easier but your help would be appreciated. The autobody shop I went to said the wires weren't long enough to tuck/hide them behind the brackets!
@GearsGadgets16 күн бұрын
@@boogienights93 if you are taking about the RGB wires, if you pull the plastic end cap off, there is a ton more wire inside the running board. You can then run it right up the backside of the idler arm and they won’t be visible

Hiw would you feel about these power steps durability in a Wisconsin winter with all the snow and salt?
@GearsGadgetsАй бұрын
@@dlosh8613 I had the original power steps which were similar construction and motors in Buffalo NY with no problem.

Can you have them blink when your turn signal is on? Like a switchback? I'm looking at these and the new boost auto version.

Just installed on my AT4, only works when rear doors are opened. I've triple-checked everything. What gives?
@GearsGadgetsАй бұрын
@@Explyzit1 I’m not sure. I had an older version where I had the wires backward on the obdii plug but from the sounds of it, you might have spliced into the wrong wires in the drivers footwell.

@@GearsGadgets Thank you for replying. Yep, i checked those as well. I will contact AMP tomorrow.

it makes me laugh when these little guys are obsessed with the big trucks. Such an easy psychological read

@@CosmicNomad93 no more of a psychological read than someone who would type a comment like this. Both of us are overcompensating for insecurities I guess.
