This is my mothers garden at my hometown. I am currently on a holiday here and thought of making another pond for her. She likes keeping fish ponds in our small garden. This was a very low cost built and I mostly used materials that were lying around. Even the guppy fishes were taken from another pond that we have here. In total I think it would not cost more than INR 800-1000 or about USD 10-12$. If you have access to an old tub, some soil, sand and plant cuttings it might work out even cheaper.

Walstad method pond . You have done a lot with very little here. Very nicely produced video , as always .

I like your mother`s garden . It has that really nice , calming vibe , like most well established gardens do . Maybe one day you could make a short video catching some of the best scenes of her garden .It does look really nice . 🪴🌴🌱🌷☘❇

Hello, I watch your videos with pleasure and admiration, but I have a question, don't the fish die or get sick (white spot disease, etc.) in winter, when the weather is cold?
@TheUrbanNemophilist7 күн бұрын
Use heater in winter or bring setup indoors. Guppies are tolerant of temperature fluctuations to some extend.

Doesn't water quality get degraded due to sunlight like mine turns yellowish plus algae growth is insane ...
@TheUrbanNemophilist29 күн бұрын
Should be away from direct sunlight. Heavy planting and lots of floaters to filter out light. Emerged plants to draw out unused nutrients. Regular water changes. More info on care and maintenance here kzbin.info/www/bejne/boGtq2iDrb-BY7Msi=rZi2tJqzX1X94d6Y

It looks so cute and so creative! But, you might have to worry about mosquitoes laying eggs there since the water is stagnant
@TheUrbanNemophilist24 күн бұрын
Thanks. Guppies feed on mosquito larvae to keep ecosystem free of infestation.
