Low Carb Ginger Beer Review and How do they taste in a Dark and Stormy 2024E033

Welcome back to Ask Allen About Low Carb Cocktails
Today I want to review different Low Carb Ginger Beers. I was able to find 5 different brands and we will see how each of them taste and how they are in a Dark and Stormy Cocktail.
Diet Gosling's - 0 Carbs
Sugar Free Barritt’s - 0 Carbs
Diet Bunaberg - 6 Carbs/12.7 oz, 0.472 carbs per oz or approx. 1/2 Carb per oz
Diet Cock ‘n Bull - 0 Carbs
Light Fever Tree - 9 Carbs/6.8 oz, 1.324 Carbs per oz
Zevia Ginger Root Beer - 0 Carbs
RESULTS
Diet Gosling's - This has the typical taste and is Ginger forward
Sugar Free Barritt’s - Not as good as Gosling’s, but very close
Diet Bunaberg - Less Ginger taste and a little sweeter
Diet Cock ‘n Bull - Very good, with the highest Ginger taste. Has a little burn from the Ginger
Light Fever Tree - This is the sweetest, and not very Ginger forward
Zevia Ginger Root Beer - This mostly tastes like a Root Beer with a little Ginger taste
Now we are trying each in a Dark and Stormy
Dark and Stormy
Ingredients:
• 2 oz Gosling's Black Seal Rum or your favorite dark rum
• 3-4 oz ginger beer
• 1/2 oz Lime Juice
Instructions:
1. In a glass filled with ice, add Dark Rum, Ginger Beer and lime juice
RESULTS
Cock n’ Bull has the highest Ginger taste
Bundaburg if you want a sweeter taste
Goslings for the most authentic taste
So those are the Low Carb Ginger Beers I was able to find. Try them if you can find them, and enjoy them in a Dark and Stormy.
