Had bunch of skinny trees come down in my yard and next door. The people there who have a chainsaw wont cut down the branches, so i need to do it so i can cut my grass again. I saw this tool on Temu, but came looking for reviews. Thanks for a thorough review and demonstration. I feel confident to purchase this and use it.

@@ManCaverTools I just got my device, I got a 6 INCH blade, and I put it together this morning. Tested on a 3 inch thick tree branch that had come down on some bushes and blocking the back porch. I won't be able to finish it off till after work but it sure did cut through quite easily. After that one cut the blade was noticeably slack. Like VERY slack, so I see I'm gonna have to stop and tighten this thing between each use, which seems reasonable for a chainsaw anyway. I've seen men of years, claiming to be handy, have stupid interactions with chain saws skipping the blade cuz they didn't bother to check between cuts. But what does a young person know of these things!? HA, we know enough to get a tool the size we can handle and to pay attention to it. I think You didn't mention that if you don't hold the devices handle when you first start, that it will spin on the drill end like a carnival ride. I already knew that but your transition to the business part of the work was so smooth, i may have missed. This thing is going to be a work and gear saver. I cant keep using my lopers on some of these volunteer saplings that keep popping up, and after the tornado this summer I've got broken branches threatening everywhere. I can finally get some of these larger leg sized logs into some sorta reasonable chunks. Edited to Add: My only complaint is that the shaft for the driver is qute short. there is some sort of plastic cover that I assume is supposed to fit over the tip of the drill but in both of my DrillMaster drills it just keeps the shaft from inserting completely so it leaves about a third of the shaft outside the bit teeth. I am Seriously considering dremmeling off these "guards so the shaft inserts more completly. It may even cut down on the vibration I'm experiencing, becuas it would be a damn shame for this thing to vibrate it's way OUT of the drill teeth. Perhaps I'll buy a cheaper on from Temu to experiment on. I'm still within my return window for Amazon. Thanks for this very handy, educational, and instructional Video, it helped tremendously, and was the spark that led me to push that buy button. Too bad you don't have sponsorship or amazon kick backs!

mine had a groove the size of the blade. It was very quiet when it started, only the sound of the drill and got more vibrational as it cut through, but that was because the chain was getting slack. I think it just vibrates out of torque but then I have seen full size saws do that but maybe not so quickly. I had the screwdriver in my pocket , so I can remind myselfe to tighten it after each cut and it should be find. I hope you have a better future experience with your tool. Mine may be a different brand than yours because my handle fit better than ManCaver's did in all the positions.

I just got this. The handle does screw on to any of the three positions - the top or bottom and one of the two sides. It tightens up fine for me. Maybe yours is defective? I tried switching the chain thinking I may have installed it incorrectly. No help. I put a very light shaver oil on the blade. No help. Any ideas? I was so excited seeing how awesome it did on yours. I'm using an 18V Rigid impact driver and drill driver to power it. The impact driver has 700 PSI torque.
@DoubleMonoLR
@DoubleMonoLR Жыл бұрын
@@freemanpense2782 Chainsaw chains always get dull, you need to sharpen them or they become much harder to cut with. A sharpened chain can make a huge difference - sometimes from struggling to cut at all, to not needing any pressure at all and it basically pulling itself into the wood. Dirty/sandy wood, scraping rocks etc can dull the chain a lot faster.

Yes constant lubrication is essential for a chainsaw, they normally run through an oil lubricating reservoir.. I can see this working for not long before it becomes destroyed by the sheer heat being generated by it not having permanent lubrication.. But it's cheap and might last a season if not used to much and kept well lubricated.. Wd40 to lubricate something like a chainsaw??? How bizarre
