Hi Paul. You won’t believe this but I also ordered Lagerfeld from allbeauty. Couldn’t believe it when I came across it, takes me back a long way. Drakkar Noir is an all time classic, for the price point it’s available to everyone. I did buy the intense version, tbh I wasn’t crazy about it. The problem it has is that it’s going up against the OG which most people will have in their mind when buying it. Fair play to them for bringing it out though. Great review, thoroughly enjoyed every minute 👍 👏

Disel Fuel for Life. Have gone through a few bottles. Always on sale for £20/€20 in airprots for 50ml. Best one compared to the other ones on offer. Was my go to scent before i got into fragrances.

If you like Sculpture, try Zara’s Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes - it’s very similar to Sculpture but better more modern.

Hi Paul, I enjoyed this one: Drakkar Noir-wow that takes me back, and Lagerfeld ditto. Talking of older frags, I took Chanel Egoise into my Year 10 boys (who run their own Insta perfume business and get me some great deals on Xerjoff, PDM etc) and I told them with a flourish, “This is what a gentleman smells like.” One immediately retorted: ”That is an old man’s fragrance, with respect sir.” He’s right of course, I am old and it smells like another era to them with their Le Male Elixirs etc. What I still am amazed by is their perfume knowledge, their “palette” for scents and their disdain when I mention clones! Speaking of clones, last year I think you asked me my opinion on Armaf’s “Noir Supremacy” when you were doing reviews of that whole line. I’m taking it with me to Melbourne for the winter trip. Now in Kuwait it’s about 48-49 so it’s all summer frags now but for winter I have decisions to make! I liken that Supremacy Noir to Green Irish Tweed: grassy, refreshing, comforting. Nice. Z-14 deserves more love thesedays. Not on my dad or grandad but my primary school teachers! 😂 I was born in '68. Lagerfeld Classic is an absolute steal at this price in the UK.
