everyone's "on the spectrum" these days lmao. its very trendy to self diagnose

A lot of the reason that there are more people these days is because there are more resources and there is more knowledge based around autism and other disorders in general. Self diagnosis is in some cases acceptable if you do enough research and properly analyze your own experience and behaviors because it often takes a lot of time and money to get an official diagnosis that many people do not have. Even so, Jake never says anything about self diagnosis and simply makes one statement that probably went over the nose of most people because he isn’t doing it in a way that would grab attention he is just stating that he is on the spectrum. You seem to want to gatekeep a disorder when in reality it isn’t very uncommon for people to have it. Don’t get me wrong there are people who do it for attention but it is clear to see that Jake isn’t one of them.
