As a newbie ADC, probably because the game in its grand total of three tutorials, never explains this. Even in AI matches the most that happens after laning phase is the AI groups up in the lane that's most pushed, or goes 3 to one lane. Realize that most Low ELO players haven't gotten PvP experience, and they aren't watching these videos. One of the funniest goddamn moments in my PvP career was the time I stayed in bot as Tristana while the two teams tried to do ARAM in mid. I pushed two towers and the enemy team suddenly started rushing towards me. Like, ADC, guys. NUKING TOWERS IS MY JOB. Meanwhile, my team cried in chat about how I wasn't saving their stupid asses because they weren't fed. We lost because they never left me alone after that play. If I'd gone to take a piss they'd have followed me to the bathroom.

@dakk35 жыл бұрын
@RaHtouV eRed The truth is that you don't even need macro in lower elos. If you get 2-3 items with a strong champion you can already carry most games with good mechanics(up until high dia). I don't think that lowelo players should focus on practicing macro on a deeper lvl, all they have to know is how to get 3 items on a strong champion without falling really behind, and then carry with good mechanics. My macro knowledge has nothing to do with lowelo macro, but to make my point matter more, i almost reached challenger in 3 season, i was like 3 wins away from it twice, in season 4 and in season 6. I also had smurfs with no serious playing, 70-80% wr midplat where i didn't even think about macro, i was just farming my lane and always farming a free lane + get some free kills and carry from 3 items. The thing is your own team can fuck up your good macro in lowelo, cuz to have a really good macro not only you but they have to understand too what you'Re doing most of the times. And they won't you can be absolutely sure of that.

Tbh low elo games are kinda unpredictable, if you have your adc and support mid it would be no surprise if 4 or 5 of them go mid and dive.. they dont think for themselves, they usually just follow the person who initiates. Some of my friends are low elo too and I look at their games from time to time and see the most random roams or all ins ever. For example I saw a Jax top gank mid when his lane was pushed in and he gave the other team 3 plates and he lost like 2 or 3 minion waves.(btw the gank failed, this was high gold/ low plat elo)

You know they're going to get engaged on. You know that your team will get caught out and/or the enemy team is just going to force it. First example is wrong. Vlad was fine going mid because Cait had already chosen to go bot. Vlad was headed to lane after a base. He could have shoved lane to potentially help with herald. It’s not like you can pull the Cait into the right lane after she’s committed to the mistake. If Vlad had gone bot, there would have been two solo laners competing for farm and no one catching mid. Also, sending Cait mid from bot through FoW would have been silly. Shen walking top was fine too. The freeze was dumb, however. Once your teammates have committed to improper lane assignment, there’s nothing you can do. Just roll with it and make the best of the situation.
@tritesy5 жыл бұрын
This right here! Just the first example with the vlad and talking about how the support and adc should be mid at this point and be helping other places on the map during different stages of the game. From Iron to Gold I see adc's and supports stay in bot lane almost ALL game... also they never ward river or drakes, only ward the closest bush, and never rotate towards their jungler to secure herald and/or engage a team fight on any enemies at the point of game their jungler takes herald. Same goes for mids that don't roam, don't ward enough (or ward crappy spots), and mids and bot lane duos that never notice if their jungler is being invaded by the enemy jungler/mid/support at any point. I've seen junglers take a fight at their own raptors with an invader and their mid laner is sitting right on the otherside of the wall under their first turret and refuse to help because they're afraid of missing 1 CS or are tunnel visioning. If you help your jungle kill an invader they can then come back to your lane with you and score a good gank and you just gained a 2 fold advantage. Positioning and rotating out of your original lane is so important! You are not supposed to just stay in the lane you start in for all/90% of a game and don't be afraid to travel up river and ward an enemy blue buff. I want everyone on every role in iron to low gold to watch thid video NOW! I watch guides and stuff constantly and this video is the most helpful and important one I've ever seen.

Wouldnt you want Shen top and Vlad bot since the dragon is up and Shen has an ult that TP's him? edit: And the bot turret is gone which makes it a more dangerous lane. Vlad can probably escape a potential gank/collapse better than Shen imo.

It all comes down to relative champion strength toward the person he’s facing, lane assignment (team effort but basically the guy with tp take the lane the further away from objective - botlane mid - midlane the remaining lane), people not getting caught You also need to play in a game where the ennemy has the same thoughts process as you, therefore it’s not so efficient in low elo. Low elo is just about 1v9, catch people off and win of that. From D3+ you can start to play the macro game and win with that

One GIGANTIC mistake I see low elo players make all the time is not pushing objectives after a completely one sided team fight. You kill 3 of them, all waves are pushed, the caitlyn decides it's a good time to shop with those 3 kills instead of killing an inhib before they respawn and the jungler decides it's a good time to farm our wolves instead of Baron. Im an adc player and the part that affects me the most is the mid laner freezing the lane after minions on bot begin to push and me and my supp get killed by 3 or sometimes even 4 guys. This happens almost every second match in gold elo. And the other thing is me going mid At around 20 mins with my supp because i know i have to be there to be useful for the Team but the mid laner is staying mid and denying me farm. After a few mins he keeps farming and i go bot to catch a Big wave cos nobody does it and in the meantime a random teamfight broke out which we lost, because we had no adc and the adc is the teams constant dmg. Thats why i sometimes decide to stay mid and loose more then 50 cs, just to be able to Help when a random teamfight breaks out. This means the mid laner is slowly going to take the own adc out of the game.

First clip with Vlad is wrong. Here's why, Thresh and Evelynn are already taking the rift herald. Vlad needs to be bot, Shen needs to be top, Caitlyn and Thresh need to be mid, and Evelynn needs to be hoovering botside. Vlad ( assuming he has ignite and not teleport ) Will take longer to travel to dragon if a fight starts out than Shen who can just ult if a fight breaks out. Caitlyn and Thresh need to be playing toward the botside of the map, after Evelynn drops the rift herald top instantly after taking it, then running to dragon, leaving Shen to pressure top push with rift. in short, Thresh and Eve take rift, drop it top to take the turret as Shen goes top to threaten T2 turret, At this point Vlad has pushed the bot wave which will crash in the middle of bot lane, then he falls back to take drag with Eve, Cait and Thresh, then finally they rotate bot because the wave is pushing for them into the T2 turret, with Shen pulling pressure top with rift.

First game: First part - Why doesn't Caitlyn just "collect" waves and back off? She went into "Pressure zone" and got killed. Kind of her own fault. Second part - When Vlad and Eve were killing Nasus, they didn't even need Thresh, so it's Thresh's fault for leaving Caitlyn alone. (not trying to defend Vlad, just something I noticed)

Reality : - if cait come mid, vlad would spam ping, threaten to afk and ask in all chat to report her - if vlad goes top: a) shen would spam ping, threaten to afk and ask in all chat to report him b) shen would go top and try to contest the creeps to vlad, c) tresh and eve would just keep doing what they're doing, then recall d) cait would get collapsed on, or just recall after she finishes the red buff. e) enemy team would make the drake You can't control what other people are doing. It's too easy to imagine the perfect situation where everyone is doing the optimal thing. The reality of low elo is not like that. Now, given the current position of other players in the map (other players that you cannot move or control) vlad is in the most optimal position: 1) he is near cait and the drake 2) he cant go bot and farm the creeps because cait would immediately start to contest the creeps if she sees him going for them ("oh no ! he's gonna take MY creeps ! ping ping ping"). Also, there is a risk for her to go AFK because you steal her creeps 3) going top , where eve, tresh and shen are already, would be giving a free drake to the enemy. I'll agree that he is making a mistake freezing, though. What would be interesting is to know how one can make the difference when the rest of the team is ARAMing. And there is only 2 possibilities: get insanely fed and crush the team fights, or get insanely fed and split push.

"And have secured pressure in the side lane, instead he goes in the jungle to kill wolves" That sentence just sounds incredibly silly. He's talking about all the strategies zed needs to do in order to carry the game, it sounds super smart and awesome, but he takes wolves
@myousic45645 жыл бұрын
This vid is good overall but I won't agree with every thing he said. There's nothing wrong with taking wolves when you're on way to open lane as top was at that moment. You lose 10 seconds and gain free exp and gold. Just look at worlds - every midlaner is taking as much camps as he can get.
@Nekufan10000005 жыл бұрын
It's a fair point. If you have decent vision of the area and can quickly clear them, taking a jungle camp is free xp you're denying the enemies.

Even if these are the correct choices vlad needs to make, you can’t control your adc. ‘Cait go mid with thresh whilst we push side lanes’ Cait : no I go bot for solo exp It’s just a nightmare, you don’t have control over your team mates when it comes to low elo macro.

7:17 awfully bold of you to assume yuumi and lucian wouldn't keep pushing that tower there. Plenty of times they would and don't even have a clue zed was gone from mid in the first place xD In high elo games top would be the right move no questions asked because people all do the right things. But assuming lucian yuumi aren't just as bad as you are can cost you an inhib here. He most definitely shouldn't have kept farming that wave together with the yorik though. That was pretty bad because he could've still done a way quicker rotation top after getting the info they were actually pulling away from that turret and get a part of that juicy top wave still. Even if he doesn't get the cs at that point he will still be a safety net for the xin zhao that's farming his crugs up there and plan a 2man gank on mid using their vision wall in topriver once someone shows up to defend that tower from vayne and morgana.

Hey. Mind if I throw out a video idea? Considering Zed (50.5% avg) and Yasuo (52% avg) have "huge" win rates in the lower elos, despite both being mechanically intense, my idea is: a why the winrate is as high, a how to deal with them as a low elo player (most I see give advice as if the player against those two is a higher elo), Seeker's why/why not? Basically, the how to deal with them for people who don't know. The idea came from a comment I've seen on the boards that sounded like "if you can't deal with them, they you are low elo", which their win rates kinda prove to be right (except for Zed, but he needs nerfs to his passive anyway). I know it's a bit different from what types of videos you usually do, but since no-one actually does them "correctly", and your video method with game plans and how to execute them is genius, I feel like you guys could make the best video helping lower elo players actually deal with these two. A basic "as a mage do this/as an assassin do this/as a bruiser do this" type of thing.
@permabanQrus5 жыл бұрын
Zed and Yas are one tricked or played a lot in low elo, people just have more time to practise those champs hence the "high" win rates. I already learned Azir, Yas, Zed and Draven by the time I hit Gold. You deal with Zed by buying Zhonyas if you can, items like PD, GA or Steraks would also help if you're an ad champ due to the lifeline or whatever passive that saves you from burst. Yasuo really isn't that difficult to kill, tabi's and a frozen heart, an exhaust or a little bit of cc goes a long way to kill him and Zed; if you're lucky then your tank or support would've built Frozen heart or Randuins for the attack speed debuff that increases Yasuo's CD on Q as it decreases only by atk spd.
@c.c.anubis5 жыл бұрын
I didn't say that I can't deal with them, for me particularly it's easy due to play Taliyah a lot and since she's rarely played I haven't yet met a person who knows how to lane against me, yet as you said, those two are played a hella lot, I get to deal with them (Yasuo: "WTF RIOT NERF TALIYAH") The reason I gave this suggestion as being a more in depth video is for others to learn better. Those two are common, and although they get played a lot, I don't believe they should have the win rates they have, but hey, not my place to say good or bad, but for people to have an actually in depth guide on how to would be nice. It's not just about "buy Zhonya", as many don't know how to identify their moments of weakness, etc. Heck, Zed's a pain because of how he plays, he always lets the wave push to him just so he can WEQ harass and be safe because he's so close to his tower, and he doesn't need to manage his wave anyway, as unless the creep is one shot by the tower, he can last hit it due to his passive.
@permabanQrus5 жыл бұрын
@@c.c.anubis You just stated why they have a high win rate that they shouldn't have in low elo, many people don't know how to identify their moments of weakness as you said.
@c.c.anubis5 жыл бұрын
I know, that's why I suggested the video. When someone complains about Zed on the boards for example, all you get are either "yea he's OP" or "you're just bad". Most "constructive" comment you get is "build Seeker's", but Seeker's alone won't do much if the player doesn't know how to deal with Zed in the first place. It'll slow Zed down a tad, but other than that, it's nada, so why not actually give players an actual video guide on how to deal with them? A game plan for each of the 3 main classes taken mid, some info for side laners, etc. Skill Capped would be the best at doing this vid.
@permabanQrus5 жыл бұрын
@@c.c.anubis I have to agree though, low elo players or at least a handful say that a champ is too op cause they got butt fucked because they didn't build correctly or don't know how to deal with the champ. It's just hard for Skill Capped to make low elo videos as you already know, low elo is pretty toxic.

Question here is, how does one, with so little experience in the game, know which macro decision to make? Yes, it seems obvious when you point it out in this video what they do wrong but for 10/13 games I have played, none of these things happened at my elo (SILVER 2). I had been ahead, but whenever I try to do the whole "collection zone-> pressure zone" with my J4 it just becomes a train wreck as my team just dies if I don't group up with them and I end up wasting time having to TP or walk to the lane of the team fight.

What if, as SoloQ teams do, all 3 waves are being picked up randomly by my teammates and I have nowhere to go? Best to share a wave on the strong side or should I accept that I have been demoted to shadowing them until one is gracious enough to leave the lane for me?

This is very informative but it just won't work as a tool to escape low elo. Do you really think that if Zed had gone top, the rest would accomodate and go to the correct lanes? Fuck no, they would just all stick to wherever they were and they would have 2 or 3 people pushing one lane, sharing gold and exp. The only way to escape low elo is to improve your csing and split pushing. Ignore your team and just push/farm until you win. It's the only way.

i think it depends on what kind of lanes you have going on in top or mid, if you have a mage with strong wave clear but weak roaming, I.E. Anivia, its better to swap with your top and to just leave mid to keep pressure on the mid lane, although if your top lane is a huge bully like jayce, kennen, or teemo, and they are laning vs something like a nasus who is already struggling to farm just at their own turret, then swapping, or just joining your mid in pushing, might be the better option.
