Yes. Set the HDR HLG/BT2020 video mode in VideoPro, then in the second tab, in the AE Correction window, you set the correction in the range from -0.25 to -1.5 (check on the screen whether it is too bright, and if it is, set it e.g. -1.5). ISO and shutter set to AUTO. You can easily achieve the same result. Moreover, you can quickly learn how to play manually. When setting AE correction, at the bottom of the screen you will see what Shutter and ISO the CPU has set. You will get the most out of it if you set the shutter in the same way as fps - e.g. 30fps/25fps video and the shutter at 1/30 [1/25] - but it slightly increases the video blur in motion and only use this rule at night (it requires ND filters during the day) . In normal use you will easily get this result - I shot most of the videos in Auto mode. Sometimes I blocked my Focus when I was making "slider moves", e.g. in Under the sun... but this is a topic for future "training". AE correction only works when everything is set to AUTO - so it's really just playing with one slider in menu. Once again. VideoPRO -> 4K -> HLG/BT2020 -> AE correcttion -0.25 to -1.5. And always clean lenses from fingerprints. Cheers.

No gimbal, no post stabilization, no processing, no edited. Samples just cuted and combine in software. Input HLG -> output HLG (all render settings - source). Colors are the same like straight from phone - I put on channel short samples straight from phone (samples with date and hour and prefix VideoPro) - the same samples you can find in this film

can you share if you record multiple clips and edit them together and when you rendered the project did you choose the Rec2020 for color? I got this phone few days ago and I edited few clips that were recorded in HLG and choose the Rec 2020 HLG for color space but when they get uploaded to KZbin no HDR option appears.... sucks not sure what else to do.. thanks in advance for any suggestion

You must wait on YT couple hours to HDR appears (for 8min clip about ~12h-20h). Cheers. If you choose HLG output in software, HDR should works on YT. Check with VLC app on PC video properties - it should show "hybrid log gamma" rec 2020 or 2100. If HDR dont appear after couple hours, type comment to me.

@@lucasn82_ thanks for your answer; actually right after I messaged you the HDR option appeared on my video... you are right is KZbin that takes long time and sometimes don't even process it ever... only thing with uploading content in HDR is that you will have to wait good 24 hrs before making video public... thanks again your videos inspired me to get this phone

No problem. YT studio should have an option to notify when the movie is ready in the HDR version - currently you have to check it from time to time by playing your own movie on YT. Thanks. Have fun testing. Regards.

HLG mode with some AE correction in phone menu, 30fps (exept first sample recorded in 120fps 4K). Some samples made in manual mode. Thats all.

I have found on my 1v that if i use 4k 120p AND HDR mode, my phone will freeze or crash at some point. I managed to shoot ok in 24p and once in 60p (though that also has crashed once) how stable have you found the HDR mode? No issues without HDR on. Wondering if its my phone or a general issue. Im still on android 13 if thats a factor.

Sometimes a little stuttering is visible. I only tested the phone without a SIM card inside. Just a phone. I admit that I recorded many times in a very hot environment in 4K120 resolution (black housing/chassis). But as I just say, phone was without sim.

Yes. All films from 5V and 1V were recorded in HLG mode (HDR). Mostly with AE correction in menu (-0.5 to -1.75) because HLG is to bright in most situations. Offtop... HLG can handle up to ~5.000cd/m2.

Wystarczy połączyć sample w programie i wypuścić rec 2100 /BT2020 czyli u mnie HLG. Mają to płatne programy (czasem płatna opcja). O dziwo mam właśnie delikatną "zagwostkę" i mam w oczekujących dwa, no 1.5 filmiku w HDR i narazie od 2 dni nie pojawia sie ta opcja. Ogólnie zaczynam zabawę formatem na zasadzie testowania. Ciekawie wyglada konwersja 422 do HLG ale to akurat offtop dotyczący bardziej Aparatów.

Rozwiniesz myśl? Jak dotąd HDR zawsze się pojawiał w plikach HLG, ale aktualnie coś nie chce się pojawić. Nawet jeśli to wycinek z filmu który był już wrzucony i ma HDR. Nadmienie, że HLG jest dość płaski ale da sie w telefonie to korygować kosztem trochę większych szumów w ciemnych miejscach. Telefon na którym mam sample jak najbardziej w pliku pokazuje HDR (z przestrzenią BT2020). Możliwe że zmienili bitrate dla HDR dlatego sprobuje z innym kodekiem albo.. YT decyduje co ma być HDR a co nie, a to jest trochę słabe dla twórcy.

You can find two short films with Photos in Auto/Basic mode from 1V on my channel. One is from day (ExmorT), second is Low Light photos. All Photos taken with Auto/Basic mode: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3yvgamcpNChlas kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKW4p4Zpd7t1fc0 Films with Video samples were shot on Auto+some manual MF/AE/shutter tweaks inside phone (but not always). VideoPro. I use some AE/shutter/MF manual "mode" in some samples, but it was not full-full M mode (usually one slider). Those films shows almost full performance of device without any PC modification too. I didnt use any ND filters, gimbals, tripods, sliders in any Video. It is very hard to do bad photo with this device but if you attempt hard you can make bad photo (always clean lenses before take picture). I know the limitations of most devices.

1. Photos - in describtion of first film (day photo samples) there is link to the Drive with full quality jpg samples with Exif data. I want show Auto mode in the best posibble way. 2. Video - practically no on has tested the HLG rec2020 mode, which has completely different settings and ISO configuration. Of course noise is visible i some parts (mostly on the corners of frame) but overall this phone is incredible. Check 120fps videos (like UTS) on my channel (phone in 120fps mode has turn off stabilisation).

@obse02 Za bardzo nie chce się wypowiadać na takie tematy. Ale jeśli już pytasz mam dostęp do 14Pro i Maxa, znajomi mają. iPhone to bardzo zaawansowane urządzenie jakby nie było, z góry zaznaczam. W konfrontacji z 1V napewno HDR jest jaśniejszy i bardziej kontrastowy. Xperia ma 2 ciekawe ficzery. Jest to slow motion 4K w 120fps (dodatkowo z HDR) oraz pełny manualny dostęp do sprzętu. Pisząc o dostępie do sprzętu w 1V mam na myśli fakt, że można ustawiać manualnie eskpozycje, ISO i migawkę nawet w trybie HDR (HLG) i to podczas nagrywania - gdy uruchomisz nagrywanie 4K w 120fps możesz korygować HDR w locie | aczkolwiek tu nie mamy LOGow - ale HLG można częściowo porównać do nagrywania ala' LOG). Dodatkowo nagrywając w HLG otrzymujesz HDR na YT bez dodatkowej obróbki. Tyle. 1V bardziej przypomina zaawansowaną kamere video niż telefon do zdjęć.

Sam mam pro maxa 13 i nie musze ale tak troche mysle o nowym telefonie. Xperie mocno biore pod uwage dlatego takie zapytanie o porownanie do iphona. Interesuje mnie tylko video w smartphonach. @@obse02 Patrząc technicznie (bo tak mam zazwyczaj) główny sensor [dual-layer] ma powierzchnię około 70mm2 i porównując go do ~116mm2 matrycy "1-calowej" to co oferuje dość mocno mnie zaskoczyło. Mobilne foto i video nie powiedziało ostatniego słowa i czekają nas na pewno 2-3 lata w których będzie "się działo" w dziedzinie elektroniki.

Under the sun was recorded in 27-32C degree. Phone was tested without SIM card but it handle mostly 4K120fps in very high temperatures. Once it was hot but it was 32C temp and I record 20-30samples in 4K120 directly to the sun.

It is 100% Xperia 1V so there is no cheat. Virtually no tester tested the HLG BT2020 mode and did not attempt to show ExmorT performance. You can find Alpha samples on my channel but when I write "Xperia".. it is "Xperia".
