Not directly related but never the less the cups are affected by the Achilles heel of Cummins there thermostat that fail all the time, on the bigger engines the fail open but on the smaller ones they crap out and stop the flow. Shout caterpillar been doing injector cups since the 3106 came out mid 90’s

About three years ago,i bought the tool for $550 from Cummins, and $120 I believe for 6 retaining rings. And did the job Brand-new OEM engine head from Cummins was $7,300 that time.
