Hey man great video and great save! The good thing about gaggles is that in these situations you can scan the surrounding air way faster. I was wondering if you notice the pilot at 7:30 coming towards you because of the asymetrical collapse in that moment? By the way I'm convinced that whoever is really passionate about paragliding doesn't care about comments and plus, if you watch a video like this and learn nothing just because someone is not explicitly telling you what is happening then you will have a hard time understanding how to improve anyways... Great content :)

Yes. I saw him getting a collapse and a bump. Being low and not getting good climb, I immediately scooted in his general direction and, of course, got a collapse myself. Fish eye view is warped so it's hard to judge distance from the video. We weren't in any collision danger or anything. He had his wing under control and was climbing while dealing with a cravat. I didn't get a cravat which was nice. He was flying an Enzo, those things seem to cravat more easily. Thank you for your kind words. Glad you enjoyed the footage.

Nice job on the low save, it looks like a few competitors around you didn't manage to get back up. Looks like you were having some fun. It was really amazing to see that big blob of the main gaggle in the air, I don't think I have ever seen so many gliders all in the air like that.

Thanks Jeff! It was fun, but stressful as well. In Chelan, everyone was bunched up in a single thermal at the start. Can't say I enjoyed 150 pilot's gaggle. But after the start it was more pleasant. Big air though, with very strong thermals.

Опыт помноженый на количество пилотов в воздухе придаёт уверенности. И преждевременная посадка гораздо неприятнее чем турбулентный поток 😅
