Low season in Jomtien, Where did everyone go?
Everyones been saying how quiet it is in Jomtien the last couple of days. I thought it might just bee because we've had the wet season come a couple of weeks early So i thought. I'd go for a ride and check it out. I couldn't believe how quiet it was everywhere, it was 2 oclock and a lot of the bars weren't open the ones that were had very few if any people in them, there was no traffic on the road and all the soi,s were dead, Even the massage girls were complaining about not having any customers.

Except for windmill no girl will ask you for a drink ,you have to approach them it's so good and the music is not loud so you can have a chat and most of the girls are naked and still very friendly my recommendation in pattaya just off walking street.

Pattaya, Jomtien, Naklua need to lose at least 50% of the bars. Way to saturated. The nationalities you mentioned don't do bars, so once the Westerners drop off, many bars and restaurants will be forced to close. Thailand ain't cheap anymore, its a third cheaper across the borders.

High air fares. High visa extension price. £44. I used to pick up a two month for £25 in UK. High lady drink prices. B220 in walking street last time. And she wanted a B1000 just for the bar fine. I paid B50 just for a soda water in a cafe recently. Even Cheap Charlies charge B35 for a bottle of water. On jomtien beach it is as cheap to hire a car 24 hours, as it is to hire a jet ski for half an hour. So prices are up, and Cambodia is cheaper. Please do not post: Well back home it costs . . . My opinion is that Thai greed is putting up prices.

It won’t make much of a difference most folks can’t spend 60 days in Thailand because of work or lack of funds +you could easily stay 60 days before if you wanted to.

I just returned from 2 weeks in Karon Beach Phuket. It was busy when I arrived mid May but when I left it was very quiet. Low season is definitely low.

All female staff in the bars seem to be way north of 40. Maybe its an elephant graveyard for retired Pattaya barworkers

Good show & tell mate which confirms low/rainy season is usually quiet. Many locals go back to their village home so their don't pay the high rental outgoings. Next high season is just around the corner so relax and enjoy the calmness while it lasts, the frenzy will resume shortly.

I was there in April and the place was empty then. The bars that had some customers usually served some food, but to be honest my overall opinion of Jomtiem was poor.
