Yes sir...I am from Karnataka.... And I am preparing for the Indian armed forces....I do agree on your point sir.... But I think there is this one preconceived point in the Northern states that people in South India are not fit for the central government jobs especially the armed forces..... Let me explain it with an example.... I had my first ssb through SSC tech entry in Bangalore... I got screened out and was very disappointed... But I will put in a lot of hard work.... During the document verification the second candidate ahead of me had not bought his 12th/PU marks card.. when he was asked the reason.. he told in a very casual way that he forgot... Even I felt he was ignorant.... But the immediate response from the Respected sir who was verifying the documents was...."Are u South Indian"... I can't explain how I felt... For a second I felt South India was a different country all of a sudden... And I wanted to prove by getting recommended ,that candidates from "Southern part of India" are not to be neglected... But i was screened out,i dint want to leave the centre...but unfortunately left it with a broken heart..

1: they usually prefer people who spoke Hindi, and they reduced the confidence of people who don't speak Hindi from South part . Even the medium of interview is in English they usually speak in Hindi it's actually a compulsion.come and see the centre in tamilnadu during afcat cds exams sooo soo much of crowd here to join defence but very few can pass . because of that language barrier they loss their confidence sometimes and also results in lack of performance. 2nd : lack of awareness but now emerged.

I think south Indian youngest interested in engineer sector..but in north india most youngest intersted for join armed forces... But We are India doesn't matter 😎.. Jai Hind

Two reasons behind this, atleast in Kerala:- A=> better opportunity in Abroad. B=> Church influence in youth life. They motivate youth to find jobs where they can share CHRIST more easily. And they know in defence services it is either not possible or it is difficult. I myself witness this, my elder son who was a boxer (National level) had got selected in ASI Pune but refused to join ASI, and now join an church based NGO by leaving boxing
