Monsters & Memories started as a discussion between MMO fans during a series of livestreams, about what it would be like to create a niche, smaller budget / indie game, in the style of a Classic Fantasy MMORPG, but utilizing modern day tools and game development practices.

I love the look of the dungeons It reminds me of the halls and tunnels of Guk, and Sebilis, and Najena (one of my first dungeons) Where scary stuff was around the corner and a party wipe was always near

I'd love to be a play tester on this project!!! Was in the EQ beta, and haven't found anything since that fits me. This appears to be a spiritual successor, and I am very excited for its success.

Please tell me there is or will be a hide graphic for those backpacks :) One for helmets would be awesome as well. Love the game . Looks like the game us old heads have been waiting for since the days of old school EQ . You guys are doing such an awesome job. Your passion is showing through in spades ! Can't wait to play it.

Thanks! Yeah, you'll be able to hide backpacks, capes, and helmets. We want things to be as "as-is" as possible in terms of item appearance, but we'll compromise on a few of these.

Deep Dwarves are gonna rock. And please don't ever up the level cap, just add more AAs.

Interesting idea, would have to make content that makes the AAs fun, but also have challenging content and really good loot in new areas

When an mmorpg ups level cap, that's when I just quit. Upping level caps is the most uncreative way to create more content.

Just curious, are the spell effects placeholders that are going to be replaced later on, or are they in their final form?

The style is definitely what we're shooting for, but Zukan will be iterating more as we go. He's already started simplifying the lower level spells and having them grow in complexity with level.

Seems like healing combat is just a absolute spam. Kinda ear r*pe lol Maybe some kind of cooldown or longer spell cast with the higher level heals? Particles look good but it just seems like more of raid amount of heals going off.
