Did my heart good when you were driving it down the road and you can see the arm wear on top of the drivers door. So typical to roll down those windows and rest your arm out the door and drive with your right hand only. Reminds me of my grandpas both driving their old dodges. Thanks 4sharing:)

Love this truck. You did a good job on it. However, it was hard to hear you talk about it. Did you say that it was in the Goodguys magazine? Which one? What gear ratio in the Dana 60? Good tip on using the D300/van lower control arms.

kirklandracing there was a shot of it in the Goodguys Magazine that covered the Nov. 2019 Scottsdale show(sometime this spring). Not sure on the gears ratio. Thanks for the tip. I’ll try to do better mixing the audio on the next video. By the way, the truck is currently for sale. Check it out on eBay!

I'm lowering my 73 stepside d100 and was wondering what size are your wheels. also a 4 barrel card with a new intake and exhaust will really open that 318 up

Ron Mitchell The wheels are 15s and the tires are 235/75-15. Totally agree, a good carb and a dual exhaust would turn this into a burnout machine!

Nice truck I have the same truck (73) I had the motor trans redone but not a mechanic and need to re install the 318 . Any chance you would be willing to send me some pics of the engine looking for pics of brackets, wireing basic beginner trying to finish this motor and get it running thx for your time.

@@hallackcustoms7523 Thanks. I wanted to know which ratio you settled with. My original rear end was for a smaller engine, and 8 1/4", and it was open. I tracked down an 8 3/4" and a 489 melon with a 3.23:1 suregrip. It's never going to be towing anything heavy, and I was looking for more of a cruiser with the RB up front.

2:54 currently in the process what did you do to correct the rear?

It was lowered when I bought it. C notches, spring under rear kit, and lowering shackles preceded me owning the truck. It did have saggy weak leaf springs so I replaced those with new stock which corrected the stance and gave better bounce back than the worn out units.
