Freindships are mostly just circumstantial you make freinds at school because you're all forced there together and you get along with some people as its fun and makes time pass quicker. 31 here, I never had a gf. Grew up in a relatively strict household where I wasn't allowed to have a gf. As time went on I cared less about having a relationship since I don't find myself ever feeling lonely. And with how out of control today's dating seems to have become I'd rather focus on myself. This happened with my friend group. They more or less pushed out the guys who stayed single, especially against renters in the group once house values went up. It's so sad. Now most of my friends are already settled, some even have kids, it’s a lonely life being single. And it’s almost impossible to find someone at this age. If I could give some advice to guys that are struggling to find a girlfriend. Use everything you've got in your arsenal. You would be surprised at how much information you have stored in your brain that can make a girl laugh or she would find interesting to hear. And my second advice is obvious: start working out and lifting weights.

Interestingly I'm the friend with a fiance and yet my single friend is the one who never has time to hang out anymore. Initially I blamed him going to college but now I think hes just outgrown me. All his new friends are on discord/vr chat and thats more important it seems. He doesn't even return texts for weeks either lol Hurts because we've been friends for nearly 20 years but that's life. I wish him the best but I'm going to find new friends.

I was alone almost all the time in middle school, in high school too I had few friends apart from my best friend IRL, I locked myself away on the internet and made friends online except that the same, they moved on, my best friend also got into a relationship and the only romantic relationships I had were long distance and it always ended badly, today I'm still alone every fucking day of my life and I just can't take it anymore, the only times I try to talk about it I get treated like a pseudo depressive and belittled, it's a nightmare.
