Hi Mayra, I just found your channel and so glad I did. I’m 63, post menopausal, and all of a sudden, I can’t maintain my weight. (I also recently retired and right off the bat gained 5 lbs.) I’m a small person, 5’1” and my happy weight is btw 120-125 lbs. Right now I’m at 132 and so afraid I will keep gaining due to lack of physical activity and slower metabolism. You said it all when you said it’s so hard to lose weight because we can’t stick to it. That’s my problem, exactly. Mostly because I get tired of eating the same foods and then I finally give in to the carb cravings and eating sweets. Now that I know about you I will continue to watch for your recipes. The protein shake looked good and curry chicken is one of my favorite dishes. I also learned from you not to eat too much fruit because of the sugars. I do have one question: You fried the salmon and chicken; does that not add calories? I always thought to lose weight one should refrain from eating fried foods. Anyhoots, I can’t wait to watch your other videos and try other delicious recipes so I can eat more healthy! Thank you!

Here in Brazil, one of the best, most traditional smoothies is an avocado (actually, abacate, the bigger, tastier version of the fruit) smoothie. Basically, its abacate, sugar, milk, ice and a aquirt of lemon juice. It's delicious! As is avocado ice-cream. Just adapt it to keto: almond or coconut milk, erythritol and ice and you are good! It's the best smoothie you'll ever have!

Thanks so much for sharing, Myra, and congrats on your weight loss and maintenance! You look amazing and that is very inspiring! I'm looking to lose about 135 pounds, altogether. I've lost about 65 and have another 75 or 80 to go. I love to make my coconut (milk) curry chicken in a crock pot. I can throw the ingredients in there, in the morning, and then come home to a lovely meal, along with the cauliflower rice. I definitely recommend it, for those who are short on time. I also make extra portions and freeze them, for future meals.

The first few times when the recipe is new it's great then after a couple of weeks, it starts to feel like a LOT of work even though nothing has changed. Your own energy level is what has changed. So for me, if I can do a hack, I'm going for it. My boys love pork chops, steak and greens every day. It takes maybe 20 minutes but even that is a lot of commitment some days. Then I just offer take-out or Cub Friend chicken. :) This Cancer Mom is just too tired to cook!

Choose good spring lamb, young goat, deer, bison over beef or pork for protein and fat For meat and dairy products choose free range or pasture grazed then organic if affordable For dairy like yougurt or milk go with highest grade of fat and eat less and moderately For dairy products go for mostly plain yogurt, feta and goat cheese with no starch, sugar, gelatin, and/or added artificial flavour or colour or additives or food stabilizer. Think of real good food products with probiotics and prebiotics such as onion, garlic, quality cottage cheese, flax or sesame seeds and MCT oil, kafir, sauerkraut... Consume less rich gluten products and zero down products with lectin for most part. Grain like wild oats and Rye are recommended. For bread go with the ones that has only 3 to 5 ingredients contains no canola oil and made with kumut, oats, rye and some nutrient rich seeds and grains for fiber and good fat Enjoy your home style minful food preparation and consumption Be conscious about snacking time, type, amount.... Control your hunger and thirst and leave enough time between each meal 😋 😌 Stop eating after 7 or 8 pm if sleeping at 10 or 11 pm respectively Start eating good breakfast at 7 or 8 am. Myra, How can I determine my portion sizes? I stay below 20 carbs daily but I am unable to make sure that I am not eating too many calories,

I'm new here. And inspired.I woke up for work and made that smoothie but realized I didn't have avocado so I put in a tablespoon of spicy guac instead. OMG. It's a spicy chocolate smoothie that is AMAZE-BALLS!!!

I take chicken cobb salads for my lunch/dinner every day. Your salad dressing is going to be my new go to dressing. I'm so tired of buying expensive dressings with questionable ingredients! Thank you for sharing!

I would like to know if that was your portion size for the chicken curry with cauliflower rice dinner? Looked delicious, the salad was beautiful and ordering protein mix for my smoothie. I am making all of these recipes!

Hello I came across your channel and I started watching because I want to start eating healthier. I'm over 60 and looks like I've been gaining more weight. I was thinkinking of getting nutrisystem but it's too expensive so I'm looking on making my own dishes. So I'm glad I ran into this video😘

I’m so glad that you eat vegetables! Too may low carb plans leave them out, and they are so healthy and important!

Low carb/keto is always my go-to for weight loss and feeling healthier but I am not a person who has a lot of energy or motivation. Sometimes I just wish I could have access to things that were more ready-to-eat. Always needing to cook is a drag. I know it's the best way to control what goes into your body but I'm just being truthful. I miss convenience foods. Thanks for this wonderful video. Maybe all I need is to keep it simple, like these recipes are. They all look amazing and satisfying. Thanks so much.

new here! can you please make a video about how you were 135lbs above your current weight in the first place?? what was your motivation to lose weight?

She made a video a year ago. I just watched it. If you click on her channel name it will bring you to all her videos. Then click on the “videos” tab toward the top of the page. After that, click on the “sort by” tab. Then click on “popular” and her weight loss video should be the 5th one down. Let me know if you were able to find it. 😊
