A long lens like a 70-200mm can be carried in this backpack, just not attached to the camera body. I take my Tamron 70-200/2.8 zoom and Sigma 18/3.5 prime with my a55 dSLT to ice hockey games regularly, keep the smaller prime lens on the a55 until I get there, then switch lenses.

I carry a Nikon D5100 with 18-70mm and a 70-300mm plus a 50mm prime.... there is also a Nikon P7000 point and shoot in there. Various filters extra battery and charger, additional memory cards, ml-13 remote. Its full but as you can see its a great bag and can handle a pretty large assortment of stuff. I hang my Manfrotto tripod on the side too.

As long as the 28-300 lens is in the main compartment (perhaps even attached to your D90), I don't imagine you'll have any trouble with that. Its a shorter lens than Tamrons 70-200 F2.8 so I'd say it should manage that alright. You may have to reconfigure the velcro dividers around but I dare say its possible to carry all 3 lenses plus camera body too.

I have the 100AW and I can fit my D700 and 4 prime lenses in it (I usually don't though). But I took out all the walls inside the main compartment, and 2 of the lenses fit in the small top compartment.

I have the 202AW and have to say I love it. I'm a Sony a55 shooter, usually carrying a Tamron 70-200mm F2.8, 18-270mm and Sigma 8-16mm without any trouble at all for several miles. The tripod holder is interesting even though I've never used it. I do have a question though. Right at the bottom of the 202AW, you have the tag with the orange symbols supposedly to show its all-weather sealed. Under this there seems to be yet another velcro pocket. Seems very tight to open, what's that one for?

This is only good for entry level kit not prosumer or pro kit and not any long lens like a 70-200mm
