Very informative for me I’m having lower Lid surgery due to medical conditions that effect my vision and watering and pus tuning out of my eye! I feel alit more comfortable after watching this video I’m very impressed with this Dr. Thank you for allowing all of us to see a video so I personally don’t feel better about surgery ! I like the Dr I. The Video and I will like him better when I see him ! ❤

I inquired with a surgeon about bilateral lower lid blepharoplasty. She told me does not make the incision below the eye, she cuts a lateral incision on the outer corner of the eye. Have you heard of this approach?

I just had lower blepharoplasty (2 weeks ago) and when I went to my one week follow up surgeon said that "we" weren't going to get an improvement as "we" hoped because he was "underwhelmed" by the amount of fat under my eye. Then he recommended fillers and I balked because they often look terrible, don't last very long and I just spent thousands and had my eyes cut up to only hear I need fillers. I came in with a medical problem that needed to be fixed (covered by insurance) and asked what else we could do cosmetically. I was surprised he said to do my lower lids because they didn't look bad to me. I trusted him though and of course I did ask his opinion. ,Is this a common problem with this procedure? It is often done for nothing? The money is one thing but It was a lot extra to put myself through for nothing. I wish he had done a fat transfer when I was out with my inner lids cut or warned me it could be all for nothing. It is so ironic but they didn't bother me before but now they do.

Blepharoplasty - superior or inferior - should be performed ONLY by Ophtlalmologist with Fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery (also referred as Oculoplastic Surgery) as the author of this video. Results in the hands of General Plastic Surgeons is not always as good as in the hands of Oculoplastic Surgeons. Sorry, but it's true.
