What I like about your presentations is that you list all of these different factors that I've learned elsewhere (usually other youtube channels), and THEN you go over the trade-offs and don't talk as if a supplement is a magical cure. "There are no solutions. There are only trade-offs." - Thomas Sowell My favorite part was how you discussed dihydro berberine as being equally effective as berberine HCl. That's tremendously valuable information.

It's amazing. I've been using it because my feet hurt so bad and I learned about it from someone I've been listening to on utube now for well over 6 years. Whole on my healthy Keto journey I started to regress to my old ways of eating until I was no longer eating healthy. Well bigistake diebetis came roaring in. I did not want to give in to running to meds. Thankfully I learned about berberine and I use cinnamon everyday and have Kale shake Wholla! Pain gone sugar pretty much back to were it should be. I'm still a work in progress and on my way back into ketosis

Check out chromium sulphate glucose tolerance factor in diabetes on PubMed research - it's been used to reverse type 2 since the seventies - I took for two days and reversed mine over a year ago - tried vandium sulphate today 🤮🤢🤒🤣😅 made me run fast as centipedes I just took a bunch of vanadium sulphate without checking the dose or nothing 🤣🤔🙃

I eat raw organic vegetables for over ninety percent of average days meal - fruit makes up most the rest. I know diet like this is best option - my drug, lowered insulin over 44% and insulin sensitivity over 44% so despite me diet, I still had to supplement. Chromium sulphate chemical grade (insulin/mimetic) Vanadium sulphate (insulin sensitivity) This is how to reverse type 2 Type 1 is different.

If you get any stomach upset or loose stools, you'd want to decrease your dosage. If your glucose levels drop too low (for instance, let's say your fasting glucose falls below 70, regularly) you'd want to decrease the dose.

What kind of berberine is not stomach pain?
@NerveDoctors
@NerveDoctors 7 ай бұрын
Hi There. Berberine will only cause stomach pain if you're taking doses larger than 1000 mg, daily or if you have stomach issues that you may or may not be aware of. If you're taking less berberine than this and it upsets your stomach, that means you must work on your gut health. A good place to start is with a supplement called Gastroven by Premier Research Labs

Can or should you take Berberine with Metformin - I’m on 1,000mg per day
@NerveDoctors
@NerveDoctors 6 ай бұрын
Hi Gloria. If you are going to take berberine while on metformin you must make sure you are closely monitoring your glucose levels to ensure they don't drop too low. Make sure you keep an ongoing glucose log. If you find them dropping, which is what you want, you need to work with your doctor to begin to decrease your metformin levels, slowly and safely. If your doctor refuses to decrease your metformin, it's time to find a new doctorl

Hi Tiger. I'm so sorry you don't usually get responses. Both Dr C & I are the only ones to answer these questions. We don't want a medical assistant giving you improper information. Sometimes are schedules get crazy and we have a difficult time with keeping up with the thousands of questions we get. You can always reach out to us at: info@nuphoria.com. Now, let's get your question answered. 1) There is so, so much we've been doing successfully for over 20 years that it's a mountain of information. Our KZbin channel has only been up for 1.5 years (relatively short period) but rest assured, we are sharing all of our well-researched data with you 2) As great as Berberine is, it's not the first go-to for neuropathy or nerve damage, which is why it wasn't included in our Nuphoria formula. As an adjunct, it's fantastic. Now, here's a spoiler alert, we are working on a new product formula that will include....you guessed it...Berberine. We are still in research & development phase, so it will take about a year, maybe less before it's released. In the meantime, the brands we use with our patients are as follows: Pure Encapsulations Berberine Ultrasorb, Thorne Berberine and Mercola Berberine and micro PQQ. Now Mercola does have another berberine called Biothin Berberine with Chromium but I like the first one better simply because it’s a higher dose of berberine per capsule. These are all available on Amazon and You can’t go wrong with any of them.

Hi Rose. I don't have enough information to answer this question so let me give you some basic guidelines. Make sure you've changed your diet to a healthy Ketogenic diet. This is one of the most effective lifestyle changes you can make to assist your pancreas in its recovery. As outlined in the research, you want to make sure you're taking 500 mg of berberine 3x/day. Also implementing some form of exercise 4-5 days per week for 20 minutes or more is also advised. The other thing you can do to improve your results is to take R-Alpha Lipoic Acid along with the berberine as research has shown that this too is effective with improving insulin resistance and lowering elevated blood glucose levels.

It sure does and I talk about this in the video. However, despite it's low absorption rate, numerous studies has proven it's still incredibly effective, which never ceases to blow my mind. These are great and safe when taken together, however you should also add between 300-600 mg of R-Alpha Lipoic Acid. MAKE SURE YOU MONITOR YOUR GLUCOSE LEVELS!! This is imperative, especially if you're on any diabetic medications so that your blood sugar doesn't drop dangerously low

Hi,Drs. Do you recommend UROLITHIN A for PNP ?
@NerveDoctors
@NerveDoctors 7 ай бұрын
Hi Susy. I don't have any experience with PNP nor have I done any research on this condition but here's what I do know about urolithin A. As you're probably aware it's main benefit is that it improves mitophagy (the removal of damaged mitochondria to make way for new healthy mitochondria) and it improves mitochondrial function and health. Most of the research that I've seen on Urolithin A involve the musculoskeletal system and not the immune system. Now, if your goal is to improve muscle function because of possibly spasticity, then yes, I would jump all over the Urolithin A. Since this is a genetic condition it's imperative for you to do a lot to support your immune system, especially since your T-cell and B-cell immunity are greatly effected. You should be on olive leaf extract, L-Lysine and quercetin along with EPA and DHA. Studies show that EPA and DHA can enhance adaptive immune function by promoting the growth and specialization of certain types of T cells and increasing the number and percentages of B cell populations in different tissues.

Berberine and a strict ketogenic/ carnivourish diet helped me reverse type 2 diabetes in 6 weeks. In Jan of 2023 I was getting blurry vision and was always thirsty and peeing alot. I knew these were the signs of high blood suger so I checked my levels with a finger prick test. My level was 9 and it didn't come down. It should have been in the 5's. I immediately fasted , ate a ketogenic diet and went on berberine , chromium, l carnitine and b vitamins. I also got a CGM to continuously monitor my glucose. It actually took only a few weeks to normalize my blood suger but it took about 6 weeks to have a normal suger/ insulin spike. I periodically tested myself with a bolus of carbs and my glucose spiked, then came right down and remained stable. I had restored my insulin sensitivity. Berberine will also upregulate glut4 transporters in the liver and restore insulin sensitivity and down regulate liver excessive gluconeogenesis. (That arises from insulin resistence)

I was diagnosed with Poly Neuropathy and Fibromyalgia. The doctors have said it's caused by a nerve being compressed in between two disks in my lower back. They said that surgery wouldn't help I suffer with nerve pain in my legs and feet. I have high blood pressure and was told that the left side wall of my heart was damaged from high blood pressure. Would this be safe for me to take?
@NerveDoctors
@NerveDoctors 7 ай бұрын
Yes, not only would it be safe but it would be extremely beneficial for you. There are an abundance of studies on berberine and the benefits to the cardiovascular system. In this video, I talk about how it stops cardiac muscle scarring post infarct and from ischemia. Now, let's address your polyneuropathy. First of all a nerve root compression from two disc in your spine RARELY cause a polyneuropathy. Meaning you're not going to have equal symptoms on both legs/feet unless the compression to the nerve is on both sides. That can happen but is less likely. Most compressions are unilateral. You may want to get clarification on that. If you do have nerve root compression, you want to seek out a qualified chiropractor that has experience with Non-Surgical Spinal decompression. Next, your fibromyalgia. I've dealt with many, many cases of fibromyalgia and the root cause is always the same. It's from leaky gut and severe microbiota dysbiosis. It would be beneficial for you to seek out a functional medicine doctor, with experience in fibromyalgia to help you reverse this condition and yes, it's completely reversible. Here's a link to find someone in your area: www.ifm.org/find-a-practitioner/

It’s my understanding that as you lower your blood sugar your insulin production also lowers. Insulin is a fat storing hormone. Most DR don’t test for fasting insulin which tells you how hard your pancreas is working to lower blood sugar by producing more insulin. Dr Ben Bickman is a research professor at BYU and has many lectures/interviews to explain better. I hope it helps.

That’s exactly the caution he gave. As Eliquis is used for blood clot prevention, taking it with Berberine could be too much. You also have the dosage to consider. Very good comment to help others know that Berberine and Eliquis could be too much of a “good thing”.

Hi Ted. I think you're asking what is the best brand to buy? If that's your question, the brands I use for my patients are by Pure Encapsulations, Thorne or Mercola. There are many more on the market that may be just as good, but these are the one's that I have direct experience with. BTW...Both Dr C & I take berberine, daily, prophylactically and we have used all three of these brands and found them to be equally as effective. We never prescribe anything for our patients that we're not willing to put into our own body.

How did pharma allow this to get through?!? They should be extracting a single compound from it and test it so they can turn it into a multi-billion dollar business. This is exactly what they did with statins. They extracted a single compound from red rice. By the time everyone figured out that the single compound was ineffective they raked in 100s of billions of dollars.

LDL is not bad. You need it for your brain. The size of ldl is what matters which is not tested for. Statins only go after the large healthy ldl. Eat whole non processed food, no grains.
@NerveDoctors

Leona you are 100% correct. I did not go into the differences in LDL's in this video because it was already a long video. The bad LDL is actually sdLDL. This is the most harmful LDL for your arteries. Unfortunately the average doctor only looks at LDL which doesn't give an accurate picture.

Because increases insulin sensitivity, ups the AMPK a 1 and AMPK a 2, which increases basal metabolism, so converts white adipose to brown fat and basically makes people lose weight and works against diabetes. Also increasing nitric oxide and nitric oxide synthase and makes them autoregulatory which then auto-stimulates AMPK a 1/2 again. Yet insulin sensitivity/potassium supplementation /potassium nitrate (or nitro glycerine🎉) supplementation can all induce this effect with insulin sensitivity contributing upto 44% to this effect... I just ordered potassium nitrate (is good stuff) and vanadium sulfate and vanadium oxide for this reason and others....😂🎉

Dear Dr ! I used to take beberin for treatment insulin resistance but just one time my skin had rash and dry. How I can take it without side effects ? Please help !
@NerveDoctors
@NerveDoctors 7 ай бұрын
Hi there. Well the first thing you would want to identify is if you're absolutely sure it was the berberine that caused the skin rash. Sometimes it could be something else you're eating, drinking or applying to your skin without you realizing it. If you're absolutely positive it was the berberine, then the next thing you want to do is look at the ingredients on the label, including where it says 'Other Ingredients' right below the supplement facts panel. Was there anything else in there besides berberine. Sometimes some of the fillers that companies use might cause a reaction. If that's the case and it's a filler, it will be as simple as getting a different brand. The brands that we have the most experience with using for ourselves and are patients are: Pure Encapsulations Berberine Ultrasorb, Thorne Berberine and Mercola Berberine and micro PQQ. Now Mercola does have another berberine called Biothin Berberine with Chromium but I like the first one better simply because it’s a higher dose of berberine per capsule. These are all available on Amazon and You can’t go wrong with any of them. Now, worst case scenario is it actually was the berberine that you had a reaction to, then you won't be able to use berberine but don't despair because you can get the same great results by taking 600 mg of Benfotiamine and 600 mg of R-ALA.
