I had to look up if you can take a piece while castling. I knew Ben was joking because he was talking. Shame, you should be allowed to take 2 pieces while castling.

One with the king, one with the rook. And that's kingside castling, if you castle queenside, you can take three pieces, the one on the b-file gets steamrollered

For finnish its lentokonesuihkuturbiinimoottoriapumekaanikkoaliupseerioppilas. Or epäjärjestelmällistyttämättömyydellänsäkään. The latter is much harder to pronounce and most finns cant pronounce it either atleast without quite a bit of practice, which is very rare in a phonetic language like finnish. Neither of the words are actually used anywhere, theyre more like example of what can be done with the language. Real life longest word would be pyyhkäisyelektronimikroskooppi (scanning electron microscope)

​@@rykehuss3435just wanted to clarify, all spoken languages are phonetic. The finnish /alphabet/ is phonetic, at least more than English orthography (or rather, the sound-to-spelling correspondence is more 1:1)

Am I the only one who thinks that playing in a completely lost position is absolutely insulting to your opponent? The guy has three passed pawns and isn't a complete idiot. Forget about drawing.

I'm the guy playing white in this game. Looking at games I win might give you the idea I'm not a complete idiot, but I bet you'll change your mind if you look at the games I lose. As for why I think my opponent played on: I was way down on time for most of the game, so I suppose he just played on out of momentum. Also, I'm unrated so that potentially got him to assume I'm inexperienced and might mess up this easily winning endgame? I don't really see it as an insult when people don't resign against me, as I would also try to play on until I have absolutely no play left. You won't properly develop your ability to be tricky in lost positions if you always resign early.
