I went to Brighton last night, to see A Day To Remember. Lower Than Atlantis were one of their warm-up bands, and I must say, this is the only song I knew from them, but they were like 10 times better live, and it's really worth seeing them if you're a fan!

I've been bashed all day for liking this song. Yes the lyrics might be a bit cheesy and it might be a drastic change from old LTA but this a top notch pop-rock song with potential to take them up a tier in the world of rock n' roll. Kudos lads.

I'm not denying that the lyrics for songs such as Another Sad Song are brilliant (I mean, 'don't cry, we all make mistakes from time to time, unfortunately for me being me was mine' is a brilliant line, don't get me wrong). But there are some fairly cringe-worthy ones in Mike Duce's back catalogue. Take Scared Of The Dark, for example. 'They surround me like an army of ninja ghosts'. Ninja ghosts? Really?

+Aria Hendrix True, but the lyrics from Deadliest Catch has to be the best made by him, in my opinion that is.

@GuitarJosh16110 жыл бұрын
Why do people have this idea in their head that a band MUST stick to the first style of music they ever played. Are you saying the first style of music you ever enjoyed listening to is the same as it is now? Fuck no is it. I listened to the Spice Girls over and over again when I was 3. Green Day pretty solidly through my mid teens, and now bands like Enter Shikari, Biffy Clyro, Lower Than Atlantis and The Gaslight Anthem are in my most played list. Noticeably all different styles yeah? Now would you change back to Spice Girls because that's what you started off with, or what people expect you to listen to? Fuck would you. Now transfer that to the world of professional musicians, who have to play the same sound and style of music throughout their careers. It's like you think you have more right to what they play than they do. The funny thing about LTA, is its NOW that they're signed to a major label, that they've felt like they've had enough of playing what YOU want them to hear. The mainstream for them would be to play exactly what they used to play all the time. Not the other way round.

Mr Keller, I do hope that, at some point in this crazy life, we bump into one another so I can buy you a beer because you've got it on the button. Play to the labels and then play for them before getting really pissed off and get back to playing proper music. This actually happens to be my favourite song to wail along to in the car but that's beside the point.
@jacobturner812210 жыл бұрын
See, this is the definition of 'Sellout' but nobody calls them out for it... They're to busy calling out bands like avenged, Linkin park and bring me the horizon, bands who haven't sold out. There is a difference between selling out which is changing your music to become more popular and simply redefining your sound.
@MSLPROEurope10 жыл бұрын
Agreed
@hanjeph10 жыл бұрын
Don't listen to it then?
@RSecker199310 жыл бұрын
Hardly sellouts for creating different style of songs, from the riffs alone you can easily tell they're still LTA. They're proud of where they came from and how they started and the music they started with, seeing as they still play it at gigs. They're also one of the rare bands who put their fans before anything else.
@duckwantbreads10 жыл бұрын
***** This song is clearly mainstream rock music. It's their choice though, mainstream music wouldn't be popular if a lot of people didn't like it so LTA might just be into this type of music and feel like making a mainstream rock album.

I actually like this song, despite it been out of my style group. I listen to Kerrang Radio (UK) at work and it helps me with my busy cooking shift... This song would actually be on my Saved list for repeats if the drummer did some god damn work, lazy drummer.. Any percussion musician listening to this can clearly hear the drummer gave up ... Unfortunately he was given plenty of opportunities during the song!!! It's not as though he was allready too busy.
